OGK-2 develops EDMS

On the EMC Documentum platform in 201o to year project works of upgrade of the workflow system in energy-generating company OGK-2 are completed.

Terms, base, regions

The CORUS Consulting company within four months worked at the Moscow office and five branches of JSC "OGK-2" in the Chelyabinsk, Sverdlovsk, Pskov regions, KhMAO-Yugra and Stavropol Krai.

Specific Features

In the course of conducting works close attention was paid to award enforcement, OGK-2 which are not loading network traffic in interaction of executive office with branches of the company that allowed to execute the project at the scheduled time - in four months after the beginning of the project, all staff of OGK-2 working with documents started use of a system.

Three-year negative

Within three years OGK-2 used the workflow system on the EMC Documentum platform and some aspects of implementation did not suit the customer.

"First of all, we were dissatisfied with implementation of the interface: the user had to make too many actions to execute transaction in a system. There were difficulties with efficiency of adaptation of settings of a system at change of business processes of the company, and setup of the mechanism of security ceased to conform to the requirements updated recently. This combination also led to the solution to upgrade a system", – Gleb Ligachev, the head of directorate of service of the customer of IT services of JSC OGK-2 notes.

Objectives

In the closest plans of OGK-2 - further development of the workflow system and growth of number of users of a system up to 1200 employees.

In 2012 CORUS Consulting Group completed the project on replication of an electronic document management system on the EMC Documentum platform in OGK-2 on the new divisions of the company which were its part after reorganization of OGK-2. The number of users of a system increased by 2000 people, and the territorial scope grew to the All-Russian scales: from Adler to Surgut, from Pskov to Krasnoyarsk. _______________________ The standard solution of organizational and administrative document flow was implemented in OGK-2 by specialists of CORUS Consulting Group in 2010 and proved as the reliable solution which allowed to optimize processes of work with documents: it is essential to reduce terms of their processing, to reduce quantity of errors and losses of documents, to provide their safe storage. "The solution created by CORUS Consulting Group was qualitative and reliable therefore when there was a need for development of a system, we addressed Corus Consulting for continuation of cooperation again", – the head of department of documentary ensuring the Administration of JSC OGK-2 Olga Kopylova noted. Development of the implemented solution was necessary for OGK-2 in connection with changes in structure of the company – its reorganization in the form of accession of OGK-6. As a result of reorganization the structure of OGK-2 included branches: Ryazan state district power plant, Novocherkassk state district power plant, Kirishi state district power plant, Krasnoyarsk GRES-2, Cherepovets state district power plant. Until the end of 2011 the electronic document management system was replicated in new structural divisions. In 2012 the project on development of a system during which a system was finished according to the requirements which arrived from users based on the first year of commercial operation was implemented and also the core of the standard solution of organizational and administrative document flow is updated.
