2022: Implementation "1S:UNF 8. Printing 2 "

On September 19, 2022, 1C announced that Armex specialists had automated the work of the MasterPrint printing house from Nur-Sultan (Kazakhstan). Using the "1S:UNF 8. Polygraphy 2 "standardization of technological processes was carried out, the calculation of orders was accelerated by 30%, the operation of the warehouse was automated. The planning of operations of production units is optimized, accurate and detailed calculation of the actual cost of production is provided. Increased control over the fulfillment of orders and profitability of sales. The printing house was able to increase production volumes: with the same shift of work, the number of daily orders performed increased from 50 to 70 − 80 units.

According to the company, earlier in the printing house a traditional scheme for calculating the cost of products was used - using price lists, which had to be constantly edited and checked. It was on them that sales managers did the calculation of orders. This was long and inconvenient, especially due to constant fluctuations in prices for consumables. Technological operations were not time and cost standardized. It was difficult to calculate the planned and actual cost of production, there were errors in calculations.

The company began to need an information system that would allow rationing the production of printed materials, speed up the processing of orders, optimize control over profitability and pricing, and ensure a quick recalculation of the cost of products when raw materials prices change among suppliers. In addition, it was necessary to make clear the salary and bonus system for paying for managers and increase their motivation.

Earlier, the printing house used an outdated integrated automation system based on 1C: Enterprise. Over the years, management and managers have come to understand that printing production with their business model requires a specialized industry solution in which, for the convenience of everyday work, production is "separated" from accounting. As a result, the 1S:UNF 8 system was chosen to solve the tasks of the project. Printing 2. "

Key Project Deliverables:

  • All types of products have been rationed based on time and cost estimates. The calculation of orders accelerated by 30%, and the orders themselves became faster to coordinate with customers, errors and additional adjustments are excluded. Managers have more time to find clients and communicate with them.
  • The system has created more than a hundred templates for the most popular types of printing products. The printing houses abandoned the calculator and price list, since the cost of consumables is entered into the program at the stage of their receipt and capitalization in the warehouse. Now all purchase prices are quickly reflected in the program, and management no longer needs to warn managers about their changes.
  • The operation of the warehouse has been automated, accurate accounting of the receipt and movement of consumables has been established. The order write-off of materials for production has been organized. As a result, the turnover of the warehouse increased, the total procurement costs decreased, and the observance of material consumption standards in production was strengthened.
  • Production management is streamlined - production employees now always know which orders to hire, and managers see what stage of execution their order is at. Now no one is calling production or pulling technologists and workers. As a result, with the same shift of work and the number of personnel, the printing house was able to increase the volume of daily orders by 30 − 40%. In the summer period of the decline in business activity in printing, the printing house, instead of 50 orders a day, fulfills 70 − 80.
  • The system promptly generates management reports: you no longer need to wait for the end of the month and the accounting report in order to get information about the implementation of the sales plan, costs, cost and profit of the printing house. This helps managers monitor and plan the work of both departments and individual managers. For example, management regularly analyzes the markup on orders made by managers: if the markup is too large, it means that prices are overestimated and the client can go to competitors, and if it is too low, profitability decreases. Based on the results of the analysis, the pricing policy is adjusted together with employees. Such work helps to offer customers competitive prices and maintain a sufficient level of profitability of sales.
  • The analysis of the planned and actual cost for each order made it possible to make clear the salary and bonus system of remuneration for managers. Since different orders and types of products have a different profit rate, it is irrational to consider a premium from the general turnover of the manager. Therefore, the salary for each manager in the printing house is now calculated from the gross profit, which is defined as the difference between revenue and cost of production. This model gives managers additional motivation - they themselves can track their income for a month.

Automation of the printing house solved many problems, but one of the obvious achievements is the standardization of the sales process. It is no secret that sales managers in our business rarely have a printing education. We wanted any person to be able to master the program and work without understanding or going into the intricacies of printing. In addition, automation made it possible for the sales department to work remotely - pandemic we did so, and as of September 2022 we are actively using this scheme. We have employees who remote work and sell our services in other cities of the republic, but they themselves have never been to the printing house. Another important opportunity "1S:UNF 8. Printing 2 "- it scales easily: we constantly purchase equipment and it is easily integrated into a working system.
