Oleg Kostin Born on January 04, 1967 in Petrovsk, Saratov Region.

Education

Education: Higher, Saratov Order of the Red Banner of Labor State Medical Institute (1990), specialty "Medical Business"; Volga Cooperative Institute of the Central Union of the Russian Federation (2003), specialty "Jurisprudence." He began his career in medicine in his student years. He worked as a junior medical worker, a surgeon. He graduated from the residency and graduate school of Saratov State Medical University named after V.I. Razumovsky.

Career

1995-2001

From 1995 to 1996 worked as the chief physician of the Lysogorsk Central District Hospital of the Saratov Region.

From 1996 to 1998 - Head of the health department of the administration of the Oktyabrsky district of Saratov.

From 1998 to 2001 - Deputy Head of the Administration of the Kirovsky District of Saratov for the Social Sphere.

2001-2019

For 18 years - from 2001 to 2019. - headed the Municipal Medical Institution "City Clinical Hospital No. 9." Before being appointed Acting Minister (April 24, 2020), he was the chief physician of the Perinatal Center State Unitary Enterprise (former 3rd maternity hospital in Saratov). By the Decree of the Governor of the Saratov Region, from May 07, 2020, he was appointed Minister of Health of the Saratov Region.

2022: Appointment as Head of the Ministry of Health of the Saratov Region

On October 4, 2022, the Governor of the Saratov Region Roman Busargin appointed Oleg Kostin to the post of Minister of Health of the region. Since 2020, Kostin has been the acting head of the department. At the post, he then replaced Natalya Mazina, who became a defendant in the criminal case and resigned (later the court acquitted Mazina).[1]
