Media-Saturn (Cisco TelePresence)

Project Task

Within the last 2 years the holding successfully increased turnover and developed regional network. As a result, it led to what the number of shops reached 400, and the geography of activity covered 14 largest countries of Europe. It caused need of process optimization of corporate management. Achievement of this purpose saw the management of Media-Saturn in implementation of the modern business tools increasing efficiency of internal communicating processes.

Solution

During the analysis of the telecommunication solutions presented at the market, the Media-Saturn company stopped the choice on Cisco TelePresence – a unique system thanks to which the feeling of presence of the removed interlocutor is created. This solution allows to reach efficiency of communications and can be used for the solution of business challenges and personal contact. It provides cutting of costs for business trips of company executives, reduction of date of completion of interregional projects or projects in which the staff of several offices is involved. A system creates a basis for performance improvement of work of management of the company and accelerates adoption of important solutions.

This premium product which is positioned in a top segment of means of visual communications includes: codecs of video signals, full-size display systems of high definition, the high-quality stereosound system, special design and lighting of the meeting room and also the management system providing the beginning of holding a meeting with clicking of one button.

Implementation project of the solution Cisco TelePresence Meeting Solution at four offices of the customer: in the headquarters of Media-Saturn in Ingolstadt and also in Munich, Paris and Moscow, - it was initiated at the beginning of 2007. The British Telecom company acted as the global partner in project implementation. The Microtest company — the exclusive ATP partner of Cisco in TelePresence technology in Russia and other CIS countries became the partner in implementing solution at the Moscow office Media-Makrt-Saturn.

The implementing solution Cisco TelePresence in Moscow was initiated in the middle of 2007. Project implementation researches preceded by specialists Microtest of acoustic characteristics and parameters of illumination of premises of the customer which are carried out using the special equipment. After the analysis of data retrieveds the system design, and then delivery and the Cisco TelePresence System CTS 1000 installation was carried out. CTS 1000 represents the ready-made complete solution including audio and video the equipment of high definition, special finishing materials, the engineering and lighting systems. The project deadline made less than 2 months. Engineers Microtest performed all works within special requirements of Cisco for maintaining projects of Telepresence.
