Due to active growth of the customer base the company had an urgent need to arrange business processes, to increase controllability warehouse stocks and production.

The management of "The plant of a metal roof" wanted to solve the following problems:

1. provide information on a situation in warehouses and production in real time (before automation control was made in the form of exit checks and removal of a remaining balance);

2. adjust conducting transparent regulated accounting;

3. increase the processing speed of orders (up to 30 minutes by 1 order)

4. plan utilization of capacity and warehouse stocks.

At a stage of the choice of the supplier and a specific software platform for automation, management of ZMK analyzed the market of integration of corporate information systems (CIS) and stopped the choice on the ERP system of 1C Company – 1C: Manufacturing Enterprise Management 8 (1C: Manufacturing Enterprise Management).

For project implementation on implementation of CIS specialists of branch of 1C-Rarus company in Kazan were invited.

During the project specialists 1C-Rarus:

  • implemented the standard configuration "1C: Manufacturing Enterprise Management 8";
  • adapted it for industry specifics of ZMK on production of a metal roof and tile;
  • optimized performance of the hardware-software solution;
  • provided user training for effective work in a new information system.

The following specific processes are automated:

  • barcoding of orders for production;
  • analysis of warehouse stocks in real time;
  • the order of buyers taking into account all features of products, a possibility of recalculation from square meters in running and kilograms;
  • automatic write-off of material at production of products taking into account a series and the specification of products;
  • accounting of sub-standard goods;
  • cutting of metal raw materials for production;
  • cutting of a remaining balance for production of doborny elements.

Implementation of an information system allowed company management:

  • to quickly obtain information on a status of orders, their quantity and structure;
  • analyze information for raw materials purchase planning;
  • accelerate process of management of money on ZMK and retail outlets;
  • control processes of goods receipt and their implementation in warehouses;
  • to quickly receive sales reports.

Olga Pavlova, the associate director of "The plant of a metal roof" in comments on system operation reported: "Now the information system is in active operation. All data can be seen in real time. Products production process under the order accelerated. Customer service reached new level: time of their service was reduced three times and the quality increased.

Automation affected all key processes of the plant:

  • processes of interaction of employees due to building of business processes are unified and, as a result, the overall effectiveness grew;
  • purchase costs of materials as control of their use was set are reduced;
  • production planning is adjusted, material, financial and labor flows are quickly traced;
  • costs on production due to reduction of costs for production of doborny materials and automation of routine transactions are reduced.

From the moment of implementation of CIS the number of sales offices and warehouses grew. A system in practice showed high scalability."
