In mid-October 2022, it became known that the traffic police buys video cameras built into the flashing lights of patrol cars. The equipment has already begun to be used in the pilot mode of the Smolensk region, Yakutia, Dagestan and other regions.

The head of the traffic police said about the use of signal beams with built-in cameras that are mounted on the roofs of patrol cars. The device of the complexes is approximately the same - there are built-in cameras for video viewing, number recognition, radars, an optics cleaning system. The devices are able to record speeding, parking violations, departure to the side of the road, a dedicated lane and other violations, and on the go.

The market value of one innovative beam is 4-5 million rubles. At the first stage, 150 patrol cars will be equipped with built-in cameras with recognition of traffic violations.

The device is installed on a patrol car without changing its design. It allows you to identify a huge number of violations on the road, both in a stationary state and in traffic.

The general director of Arsenal 67, Sergei Vasilevsky, told Kommersant about plans to build a beam production plant by April 2023 as part of a joint venture with Rostelecom (the company acts as an operator of photo and video recording systems in a number of regions).[1]
