AIS "Electronic Ecology," developed by the company "Etton," will be used to control the activities of the regional operator and waste carriers in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug. Earlier - in 2021 - the system was introduced into the work of the regional operator in test mode in Salekhard. Etton announced this on October 21, 2022.

By order of the Department of Tariff Policy, power and Housing and Communal Complex of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, the movement of specialized vehicles will be monitored. Monitoring the navigation of special equipment using Electronic Ecology will identify cases of unauthorized waste collection, eliminate violation of the garbage collection schedule, and improve the quality of service for container sites.

In Yamal, as of October 2022, the removal of municipal solid waste is provided by 22 transportation operators, who own (use, lease) 188 garbage trucks and 12 units of specialized equipment. Six operators work on the processing, neutralization and placement of MSW (reception at landfills). 6,767 container sites are also equipped with 16,277 containers for MSW accumulation. In total, 25,255 sources of solid municipal waste generation were registered and included in the Territorial Waste Management Scheme on the territory of the Autonomous Okrug.

Digitalization of the industry in the region began two years ago. So, in 2020, the next stage of the national project "Integrated System for Solid Municipal Waste Management" was completed in the district - waste treatment and disposal facilities were equipped with automated weight control points. Now the mass of waste entering landfills can be monitored in real time. This year, the topic of digitalization of MSW facilities has continued: additional modules to the software product "Electronic model of the territorial waste management scheme of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug" are being deployed.

The system will include databases, software and technical software for entering, storing, updating, analyzing and visually presenting the MSW management system in the region.
