2022: Service Launch

On October 27, 2022, the Russian Post announced the launch of a service that predictively substitutes and standardizes address data. It fixes errors in addresses and leads them to a single format for further use in deliveries of orders or mailings. According to the tests, the accuracy is 99%. Predictive address entry is also available in the service. This makes it easier for end customers to fill out forms, for example, in online stores, and also reduces the number of errors when entering addresses.

Online stores, marketplaces, banks, manufacturers and distributors can become customers of the service.

In the service Russian Post uses a solution of its own design - Geo-information system Postal address (GIS PA). The basis of the AP GIS data is the address data of the state address register (GAR), as well as addresses added and verified by the Post staff. GIS PA weekly updates the GAR data guide and has a legitimate and up-to-date source of postcode data.

The service integrates into client systems through the API, which allows them to be used in real time. As a result of verification, the address is returned with correct spelling, structure and correct index, as well as information about its completeness and validity.

We have created a convenient service for the market that will allow the business to build effective work with address data. It will help minimize deliveries and mailings to false addresses and, as a result, optimize logistics costs. Over time, we will expand functionality, add new opportunities for working with address data and provide customers with access to services through our personal account, "said Sergey Konikevich, head of the department for launching new business areas" Hybrid Mail and EDO. For all new customers, free test access is available for one month, for which they will be able to assess the operation of the service and decide whether to use it in the future.
