"System Operator of the Unified Energy System", the specialized organization, in real time the managing director of technology operation modes of objects of power supply system of the country, announced on August 24 creation of a multiservice IP communication network and complex of defense of perimeter of the information system. The general contractor who performed the large-scale project, costs for which made 560 million rubles, was the Microtest company.
"Starting in 2008 accomplishment of this project, we made the decision to build the uniform corporate protected data network capable to provide transport of different types of traffic and implementation of the integrated communication services. Along with it it was necessary to provide protection of information resources of the system operator against external threats" — Denis Azernikov, the associate director of SO UES on information technologies emphasized.
The network integrated structural divisions of SO UES — the main dispatching center in Moscow as which supervisory control of all integrated power grid, seven joint and 59 regional dispatching offices performing the round-the-clock administration of the modes of power supply systems in the territory of 79 territorial subjects of the federation enters.
A system is constructed based on the equipment Cisco Systems c by use of the solutions Cisco Globally Resilient IP intended for networks with increased requirements to reliability. Increase in level of readiness is reached due to reservation of devices in nodes of network, use of methods of pro-active detection of possible problems with the subsequent reconfiguring of topology and switching of traffic to reserve routes.
The organization of transfer of network points to new technologies at which services of network would be interrupted no more than for 30 minutes on condition of permanent operability of a conference circuit became one of problems which were solved together with IT specialists of SO UES.
The new IP network in which data transmission is made on the channels rented at Rostelecom and Transtelecom replaced the TDM infrastructure used earlier. On IP network different types of telemetered informations are transferred; it ensures functioning of a technology IP telephony, a video conferencing, work of the distributed technology, administrative and financial and office applications.
Now the TDM technology continues to be applied only to voice dispatching messages which are transferred with the top priority. In the long term this type of communications will also be transferred to IP.
