On November 14, 2022, Maxima Telecom announced that it had provided digital solutions for the Baltiets series St. Petersburg metro train developed by Transmashholding. The company provides Wi-Fi access for passengers and the operation of a video surveillance system in rolling stock.

All digital solutions "Maxima Telecom" in the cars of the 81-725.1/726.1/727.1 series "Baltiets" are available from the moment of official access to the line of the first train on the Kirovsko-Vyborg line of the St. Petersburg metro. This is the latest development of Transmashholding and one of the most modern metro trains in the world.

The design of the Baltiets train was created by Transmashholding specialists, taking into account the scenarios of passenger behavior, their habits and needs, and the Maxima Telecom equipment is installed in the rolling stock at the stage of conveyor assembly. This ensures the integration of solutions into a single digital train circuit and the quick possibility of launching services into operation.

For passenger safety, each Baltiets train uses 60 digital cameras video surveillance with ultra-wide-angle lenses, including built-in cameras in rear-view mirrors for the driver (video mirror). Separately, the integration of equipment with train control systems, route informing of passengers and " voice communications passenger-driver" was implemented.

Connection to the Wi-Fi MT FREE network as part is already available to passengers of the St. Petersburg metro on the Kirovsko-Vyborg line (M1). As of November 2022, the MT_FREE network operates on all existing metro lines in St. Petersburg. Passengers of one of the deepest subways in the world can stay in touch at a comfortable Internet speed, watch videos, listen to music, use the usual services on their smartphone.

Metro trains of the 81-725.1/726.1/727.1 Baltiets series were developed by Transmashholding for the St. Petersburg metro. The share of materials, assemblies and parts of domestic origin in Baltiyets is more than 90%.

According to the contract signed between the St. Petersburg Metro and Transholdleasing, 950 metro cars will be built for the Northern Capital in the period 2022-2031. Deliveries are carried out within the framework of a leasing agreement concluded with the "ВЭБ.РФ," with the involvement of funds from the National Welfare Fund. The amount of funding is 96.9 billion rubles.
