Rosenergoatom will increase the level of cyber security in 2023 due to the new domestic PAC

2022: Completion of PAC testing to ensure a high level of information security

Rosenergoatom Concern (part of Rosatom State Corporation's management loop) has completed testing of a new import-independent domestic software and hardware complex (PAC) to ensure a high level of information security, created jointly by Positive Technologies and Delta Computers. The solution is planned to be put into commercial operation in 2023.

The solution includes a system for monitoring information security events and detecting incidents, MaxPatrol SIEM a system for behavioral analysis of network traffic, PT Network Attack Discovery (PT NAD) a product for protection against target and mass attacks using, as well harmful ON PT Sandbox as high-performance server equipment Delta Tioga Pass and storage modules based on Argut NVMe disks.

According to Oleg Shalnov, director of the department for management of IT projects and integration of Concern Rosenergoatom JSC, today, when import substitution and the creation of domestic software are paid special attention in Russia, this decision will allow the company to painlessly abandon foreign hardware, while maintaining both the necessary level of protection against cyber attacks and compliance with all requirements of Russian information security legislation in terms of import substitution.

The creation of import-substituted software and hardware systems (PAC) is one of the strategic initiatives of ROSATOM to achieve the technological sovereignty of the Russian Federation. The use of PAC allows us to fulfill the tasks of import substitution of the hardware of already used or newly implemented domestic software systems, to obtain balanced and horizontally scalable hardware solutions with predictable parameters of the quality of work and cost of ownership throughout the life cycle of the solution, "said Oleg Shalnov.
