Rosenergoatom received revenue of 539.08 billion rubles

Rosenergoatom Concern, part of the electricity division of Rosatom State Corporation, is the largest generating company in Russia and the second in the world in terms of nuclear generating capacities, second only to the French EDF. As of March 2024, the concern includes 11 operating nuclear power plants, including a floating nuclear thermal power plant (PATPP), as well as a scientific and technical center for emergency technical work at nuclear power plants, design and technological branches.

On March 14, 2024, Rosenergoatom announced that the main stage of construction had begun at power unit No. 7 of the Leningrad NPP. The first concrete was laid in the foundation of the building with the VVER-1200 reactor. This event, as noted, marks the beginning of the creation of new power units that will provide Russia with clean energy for at least 60 years. It is expected that in 2045 the share of nuclear generation in the total energy balance of the Russian Federation will be increased to 25[1]%

2022: Annual revenue growth by 2.4% to RUB 540.9 billion

At the end of 2022, Rosenergoatom's revenue reached 540.9 billion rubles against 528.5 billion rubles a year earlier. Thus, sales of the products of the country's largest generating company increased by 2.4%, the concern's press service said on March 10, 2023.

Revenue growth at Rosenergoatom is associated with an increase in capacity sales due to the full-year effect of the operation of power unit No. 6 of the Leningrad NPP, which was commissioned back in March 2021, as well as an increase in production due to optimization of the repair time of power units.

Kalinin NPP, it is managed by Rosenergoat

The company also cited data according to which the cost indicator for 2022 amounted to 301.9 billion rubles (15 billion rubles lower than planned), and EBITDA - 259.9 billion rubles. Gross profit exceeded 239 billion rubles, and net profit - 123.1 billion rubles.

The consolidated revenue of the entire electric power division of Rosatom (its basis is Rosenergoat) in 2022 amounted to over 793.2 billion rubles against 735.1 billion rubles in 2021.

At the end of 2022, the total generation of electricity by all Russian nuclear power plants reached a record level of over 223.371 billion kWh. This volume of electricity generated by the NPP made it possible to save equivalent emissions in CO2 the amount of more than 109 million tons (if a similar volume of electricity was generated by thermal generation).

As noted in Rosenergoatom, by March 2023, the power, including atomic, demonstrates high responsibility, efficiency and stability. The industry is successfully adapting to the new conditions and changes taking place in the global market. The concern includes 11 operating nuclear power plants, 37 power units are in operation (including the floating power unit (PES) of the PATPP as part of 2 reactor plants) with a total installed capacity of over 29.5 GW.[2]

ВЭБ.РФ confirmed to the publication that within the framework of the current bankruptcy procedure, Stack Date Network LLC, the investment bank plans to put up the Xelent data center for the first auction in the first quarter of 2021. The representative of the state corporation noted the high interest in this asset from specialized investors, who, like the amount, did not name.

According to Sergei Migalin, Rosenergoatom is showing interest in buying the Moscow data center StoreData, and companies may begin commercial negotiations in early 2021. The company also intends to build small modular and container data centers at the Balakovo, Novovoronezh and Smolensk nuclear power plants. We are talking about small sites with 30-60 racks, which are focused on local projects and large enterprises, said Sergey Migalin.[3] Economy"

2008: Transfer of 100% of the company's shares to Atomenergoprom

By order of the Federal Agency for State Property Management dated August 11, 2008 No. 1235-r, FSUE Concern Rosenergoatom was transformed into Concern Energoatom OJSC with the transfer of 100% of shares to Atomenergoprom OJSC. The sole shareholder of JSC Atomenergoprom is Rosatom State Corporation. By order of the Government of the Russian Federation of September 14, 2009 No. 1307-r, the Concern is allowed to include the word "Russian" in its corporate name.

In November 2009, by the decision of the sole shareholder of Concern Energoatom OJSC, the corresponding amendments were made to the Charter of the Concern related to the new corporate name - "Russian Concern for the Production of Electric and Thermal Energy at Nuclear Power Plants" (Concern Rosenergoatom OJSC).

2007: Creation of Atomenergoprom

JSC Atomenergoprom was established in July 2007 for the purpose of further development of nuclear power and restructuring of the nuclear power industry complex of the Russian Federation and pursuant to Decree of the President of the Russian Federation of April 27, 2007 No. 556 by Decree of the Government of the Russian Federation of May 26, 2007 No. 319.

2002: Interconnection of all nuclear power plants

In accordance with the Order of the Government of the Russian Federation No. 1207-r dated September 8, 2001, from April 1, 2002, to further improve the efficiency of the NPP GP, Concern Rosenergoatom was transformed into a generating company (FSUE Concern Rosenergoatom) by joining all existing and under construction nuclear power plants, as well as enterprises providing their operation and scientific and technical support. In addition to the functions of the operating organization, such a company could already independently speak on the electricity market and sell the energy generated by nuclear power plants to solvent consumers.

1992: Decree of the President of the Russian Federation on the establishment of the concern

The state enterprise "Russian State Concern for the Production of Electric and Thermal Energy at Nuclear Power Plants" (GP Concern Rosenergoatom) was established in accordance with the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation dated September 7, 1992 No. 1055 "On the operating organization of nuclear power plants of the Russian Federation." The decree established that the Rosenergoatom Concern GP is a state-owned enterprise that carries out its own activities and with the involvement of other enterprises (organizations) at all stages of the life cycle of nuclear power plants for the selection of sites, design, construction, commissioning, operation, decommissioning, as well as other functions of the operating organization. The same Decree established that the property of existing, under construction, designed and mothballed nuclear power plants belongs to federal property and is assigned to the Concern "Rosenergoatom" GP on the rights of full economic management.

It was assumed that GP Concern Rosenergoatom is a form of unification of all nuclear power plants, which, with the exclusive right of the Decree, retained the powers of independent business entities - industrial enterprises.

The 1990s were characterized by the difficult economic condition of the country as a whole: a decline in production, non-payments for electricity released, surrogate payment schemes - bills of exchange, barter, etc. Therefore, one of the most important tasks of the Rosenergoatom Concern GP in those years was to overcome the difficulties of the transition period in the country's economy, and first of all it was necessary to solve the problem of non-payments for energy released from the nuclear power plant.
