"Byte Erg" implements equipment from the world's leading manufacturers. The company has its own mass production and supplies equipment under the MVK brand to Russian and related markets. Today, the line of outdoor surveillance cameras and call panels of the MVK occupies a leading position among domestic equipment. It is installed at thousands of facilities throughout Russia. "Byte Erg" performs works on design, installation, commissioning of safety systems of any level of complexity.

Now the company's team has 200 people. Its own plant produces more than 100,000 products annually. In the lineup of cameras produced by Byte Erg of the MVK brand - 35 items. All MVK cameras are given a 5-year warranty, and for the convenience of partners and users, a network of regional service centers has been created in 13 cities of Russia.

MVK cameras are installed and successfully perform their functions in Moscow at such objects as the State Historical Museum, St. Basil's Cathedral, Moscow Dolphinarium, Nikulin Circus on Tsvetnoy Boulevard, as well as in many banks, museums, shopping centers, warehouses, factories, stadiums, offices and shops throughout Russia. According to the study "The Eastern Europe and Russia Market for CCTV and Video Surveillance Equipment - 2010 Edition" ("Equipment Market for video surveillances Eastern Europe and Russia - 2010 Edition"), carried out by the international consulting agency IMS Research, the company "Byte Erg" is recognized as the largest manufacturer of cameras for video surveillance systems in Russia at the end of 2010. In addition, during this study, the company was named the fourth largest supplier of cameras in Russia and Eastern Europe.

In addition to cameras, Byte Erg produces ringing panels for intercoms, microphones, brackets and other security equipment. Since the company has a strong development team, it regularly conducts research and development projects commissioned by various ministries and departments.

2021: Revenue decrease by 15.9% to RUB 3,241 mln

History

2025: Rosatom's subsidiary bought 50% of Byte Erg

On July 14, 2025, it became known that the subsidiary of the state corporation Rosatom - RuSat Critical Information Technologies JSC (RUKIT) - acquired a 50 percent stake in the IT company Byte Erg. The value of the transaction is not officially disclosed, and market participants estimate it at several billion rubles.

Byte Erg is a Russian developer and manufacturer of electronics. The company specializes in mobile and personal video surveillance complexes, communication devices, special-purpose video surveillance systems. The company was founded in 1996, the number of employees as of mid-2025 exceeds 300 people. The key products of Byte Erg include video cameras, tablet computers and smartphones of the MVK brand, personal surveillance complexes Dozor, mobile surveillance solutions for Patrol vehicles, video recording systems for MS-21 and IL-114 aircraft.

According to the information in the database of the Rusprofile.ru service, in addition to RUKIT, the founders of Byte Erg are three individuals, between whom the remaining 50% in the company's structure is divided. In particular, 24% belong to Leonid Sakulin, 16% to Sergei Borodin and 10% to Andrei Prudnikov. The authorized capital of the enterprise is indicated in the amount of 3 million rubles.

Sergei Kravtsov, a member of the board of directors of STC IT ROSA JSC and Rutek JSC, believes that the transaction value may range from 2 to 5 billion rubles, which is "fair in accordance with the assessment of the current business of the acquired company." The purchase of the asset will allow Rosatom to develop video surveillance, various access control and monitoring systems. In addition, experts believe that the state corporation could be interested in the developments of Byte Erg in the field of smartphones and tablets.[1]
