2023: Creation of a design bureau

Glonass JSC has created a design bureau. Its first development is a satellite tracker for monitoring drones, ships and cars. This was announced on September 11, 2023 by the head of the company Alexei Raikevich.

The press service of Glonass JSC clarified that the design bureau has created the development and implementation of domestic digital systems and equipment. They plan to release a rbochny prototype of the tracker, which will allow receiving data from mobile facilities via Russian satellite channels in real time throughout the Russian Federation and outside cellular coverage zones by the end of 2023.

The use of a unique communication technology allows you to reduce the size of the satellite subscriber terminal to 200 grams, the use of Russian communication channels will three times reduce the cost of such a service compared to foreign counterparts who have left the Russian market, the company noted. They added that the technologies of Glonass JSC guarantee the technological and navigational sovereignty of a number of sectors of the Russian economy.
