2014

Submission of the ICSC, (2014)

2012: Igor Khatkov appointed director of TsNIIG

Since September 2012, TsNIIG has been headed by MD, prof. Igor Evgenievich Khatkov.

The main task of TsNIIG at this time is the implementation of the scientific target complex program "Improving methods of diagnosis and treatment of digestive organs." The TsNIIG team is engaged in the development of methods of "regenerative medicine," the study of the possibility of using biotechnology for the treatment of diseases of the gastrointestinal tract, the compilation of registries of patients with digestive diseases that require constant observation, and the development of organ-preserving technologies for the lifelong treatment of such patients, the study of epidemiology, etiopathogenesis of gastroenterological diseases, and pharmacoeconomic studies in the treatment of these diseases. Endoscopic research methods were widely used and used at the institute. At the very beginning of the 1960s in Russia, for the first time, employees of the department began to use retrograde pancreatic cholangiography by therapists together with surgeons for diagnostic and therapeutic purposes.

Surgeons of the institute actively cooperate with all therapeutic departments of the institute and laboratories. Since the end of 2012, the work of the surgical department of TsNIIG has intensified, complex high-tech operations began to be performed.

In addition, the institute is also engaged in pedagogical activities, since since 2007 it has received the right to conduct postgraduate and additional education (license of July 27, 2007) and the right to issue state-issued documents for academic work (accreditation No. 25 of July 27, 2009).

2001: Leonid Lazebnik appointed Director

From February 2001 to July 2012, Director of TsNIIG - MD, prof. Leonid Borisovich Lazebnik.

In 2003-2009, a multicenter study "Epidemiology of Gastroesophageal Disease in Russia" was conducted. In 2008, the standards "Diagnosis and therapy of acid-dependent diseases" were developed.

1973: The Institute is reassigned to the Moscow Health Committee, Anatoly Loginov has been appointed director

On August 27, 1973, the Institute of Gastroenterology was separated from the Department of Propaedeutics of 1 MMI, reassigned to the Committee (later the Department) of Health of Moscow, significantly expanded (to 550 beds) and transferred to Highway Enthusiasts, 86, where it was located in 2 hospital and 1 laboratory buildings of the former 58 City Clinical Hospital.

Doctor of Medical Sciences, Professor, later ACOD of the Academy of Medical Sciences of the USSR, was appointed Director Anatoly Sergeyevich Loginov TsNIIG. Anatoly Sergeyevich Loginov was the first to widely introduce the use of laparoscopy into the clinic. Before him, these were separate few cases of the use of laparoscopy in the clinic, mainly by surgeons. Loginov introduced laparoscopy to the therapeutic clinic as a diagnostic method for diseases of the gastrointestinal tract. He began to engage in laparoscopy since 1960 in the department of hepatology of the Research Institute of Therapy. For the first time, he proposed color photography in laparoscopy to diagnose liver diseases. From 1964 to 1969, he published several monographs on laparoscopy and an atlas of laparoscopic paintings and micrographs of liver punctates (during laparoscopy, he made targeted liver biopsies). It is difficult to overstate the significance of the widespread introduction of laparoscopy into the clinic, especially in the field of hepatology, where diagnostic laparoscopy with targeted liver biopsy and subsequent study of liver punctates has produced, one might say, a revolution. Loginov's work served as an impetus for the widespread use of laparoscopy and in surgery.

Hepatology was Loginov's favorite area of gastroenterology. Until the end of his life, he headed the department of hepatology at TsNIIG on a voluntary basis. He remained director for the rest of his life - until 2000 (33 years in total).

1967: The All-Union Research Institute of Gastroenterology (VNIIG) was created

By order of the Council of Ministers of March 25, 1967, the All-Union Research Institute of Gastroenterology of the USSR Ministry of Health was created.

The institute consisted of 3 parts:

1. Departments of chronic hepatitis and portal hypertension, organized in 1960 at the Institute of Therapy by the director of the institute, academician of the Academy of Medical Sciences of the USSR A.L. Myasnikov (17 people). The then candidate honey was in charge of this department. sciences A.S. Loginov. 2. Academic group of academician of the Academy of Medical Sciences of the USSR V.Kh. Vasilenko and the department of propaedeutics headed by him 1 MMI (18 people). 3. Surgical group transferred from the Institute of Surgery of the Ministry of Health of the USSR (8 people).

VNIIG director was appointed academician of the Academy of Medical Sciences of the USSR V.Kh. Vasilenko, his deputy for science and head of the hepatopancreatology department - A.S. Loginov, MD, professor.

The surgical department was headed by Professor N.O. Nikolaev (student of Academician B.V. Petrovsky). VNNIG had 300 beds, of which: 3 departments of 60 beds had a department, and 4 departments of 30 beds belonged to the institute. In fact, the real association never happened. The hepatology department remained an "outsider" in 1 MMI.
