History
2024: FAS reveals cartel in sale of Eye Microsurgery Center assets
In May 2025, the Federal Antimonopoly Service of Russia (FAS) announced the discovery of signs of a cartel agreement when selling the property of Protasovo MG LLC, previously owned by the MNT Eye Microsurgery named after S. N. Fedorov. The regulator opened a case of violation of antitrust laws.
As Kommersant writes with reference to the materials of the FAS, in April 2024 the Protasovo MG company was sold to SZ Stroykommunodar LLC for at least ₽83 million. During the investigation, FAS experts found that only the appearance of competition was created at the auction, which is a direct violation of antimonopoly legislation.
According to the documentation of the Russian Auction House, which held tenders for the sale of the company, Protasovo MG owns significant land assets: ten plots with a total area of 3.6 hectares in Mytishchi and the Dmitrovsky district of the Moscow region, designed to accommodate warehouse complexes and individual housing construction. In addition, the company owns 27 hectares of agricultural land in Mytishchi.
This deal has previously attracted the attention of the Prosecutor General's Office.
