Sprint is a free acceleration program for Russian technology companies developing products and services in the field of new communication Internet technologies (NKIT) for the Russian market.

The program was developed and implemented by the IIDF with the support of the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation. Russian technology companies that meet the requirements of the tender documentation and have successfully passed the competitive selection can take part in the program.

Running the second set

The Internet Initiatives Development Fund (IIDF) on July 2, 2021 announced the launch of the second set in the Sprint accelerator.

The program is financed by the Ministry of Digital Development of Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation within the framework of the federal project "Digital Technologies" of the national program "Digital Economy of Russia." The first set ended on June 10, more than 1000 projects took part in it.

Sprint is a free program for Russian developers of solutions in the field of communication Internet technologies: advisory, gaming, video, audio services, instant messengers and other products. The program is aimed at developing the competencies of IT entrepreneurs in these industries and scaling from the first sales to a multiple increase in revenue.

Teams with a ready-made prototype will learn to test hypotheses and organize the sales process. Startups with the first sales will be able to bring the business to payback. And companies with revenues up to 100 million rubles per year - to increase growth rates and find client segments.

Acceptance of applications will last until August 2, the start of the accelerator is scheduled for September 28.

Sprint's task is to give teams scaling tools and provide conditions for their practical application. This is an opportunity to work with experts, focus on the key tasks of the business and bring the product and team to another stage of development, - commented the director of the IIDF Kirill Varlamov.

The first set showed good dynamics - more than 1000 registrations per month. We gathered feedback from the teams and made the application process more convenient. We are waiting for everyone who did not have time last time and new participants, - said Anna Antonova, director of the Sprint accelerator.

Launch an accelerator for IT startups

On May 12, 2021, the Ministry of Digital Development, Communications and Mass Media of the Russian Federation announced the launch of an accelerator for IT companies. This is a joint project with the Internet Initiatives Development Fund (IIDF).

Developers of solutions in the field of new communication Internet technologies: advisory, gaming, video, audio services, instant messengers, etc. will be able to take part in the acceleration program called "Sprint." Their annual revenue should not exceed 100 million rubles a year.

The Ministry of Digital Industry launches the Sprint accelerator for IT startups

The tasks of the accelerator are called:

  • developing the competence of technology entrepreneurs, scaling projects from the first sales to a multiple * of revenue increase;
  • higher investment attractiveness.

The program consists of several thematic blocks: product creation, marketing, sales organization, economics, team management, presentation skills. For several months, mentors and experts will work with entrepreneurs in the formats of daily trainings, master classes and individual consultations.

IIDF Director Kirill Varlamov believes that the accelerator will help entrepreneurs find new growth points and widen bottlenecks, refine the product and build a systematic work on business development.

Applications are accepted until June 10, 2021. The accelerator is scheduled to launch on July 22, and the end of the program is scheduled for September 30, 2021.

We expect that the accelerator will become a springboard for the development of Russian IT startups. The Ministry of Digital Industry fully subsidizes the program - entrepreneurs who have passed the competitive selection will be able to take part in it free of charge. At the same time, the intellectual rights to the products will remain with the developers, - said the deputy head of the ministry Maxim Parshin.

According to him, more than 400 companies are expected to become graduates of the program in 2024.[1]
