History
2024
Leasing of civilian UAVs worth ₽6 billion
The State Transport Leasing Company (GTLK) delivered 2.6 thousand unmanned aerial vehicles worth ₽6 billion as part of a state civil order (GGZ) to 117 customers. This was reported by the press service of the company on December 17, 2024.
According to GTLK, 12 Russian drone manufacturers participated in the program. Geoskan provided a significant discount on the GGZ, which made it possible to save more than ₽750 million budget funds.
Naturally, difficulties arose - mainly when performing the intermediary function of ensuring the customer's requirements. But together we have debugged the processes and are ready for further interaction at a new level, "said Alexey Yuretsky, General Director of Geoskan. |
In June 2024, Geoscan was included in the US SDN list, which led to the lengthening of supply chains and an increase in the cost of components. As a result, part of the deliveries, including the Geoskan 801 quadcopter, was postponed to the first quarter of 2025.
GTLK was appointed the base customer for the GGZ in April 2024 by order of the Russian government. The supply plan was formed until the end of June with subsequent adjustments in November-December 2024.
In December 2024, the plan additionally includes the supply of 133 drones worth ₽164,6 million for the Federal Air Transport Agency. GTLK has already consolidated the needs of state customers for 2025 in the amount of 1.17 thousand drones.
The use of drones reduces the cost of delivering small cargo by up to 50%, and delivery time by more than six times. Drones are also used in agriculture and forestry, construction and search and rescue operations.
According to industry experts, the state civil order must be reoriented to services, which should become a determining factor for manufacturers. It is also proposed to expand support measures for operators.[3]

As the deputy head of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Vasily Shpak noted, all purchased drones must meet the localization criteria. GTLK will buy ALS from manufacturers and then supply them to federal executive bodies and their subordinate institutions. In terms of fulfilling the civil state order, GTLK will act as a "one-stop shop" system for ALS customers and suppliers, Shpak said. |

All drones are divided into eight categories: light and medium helicopters, medium and heavy helicopters, light, medium and heavy multirotors and educational drones.
