FAA "Central Sports Club of the Army" (CSKA) is a sports club under the Ministry of Defense of the USSR, later the Russian Federation.

The full official name of the Russian club is "Federal Autonomous Institution of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation" Central Sports Club of the Army. " In Soviet times, CSKA included teams in almost all sports, including gaming. As of June 2016, FAU CSKA, as a rule, is not directly related to professional sports clubs called CSKA.

2024: Losses - 528.34 million rubles

Moscow "Spartak" became the most unprofitable football club of the Russian Premier League (RPL) in 2024 - its losses amounted to 2.62 billion rubles (before taxation). Such data were published on May 30, 2025 by the Russian Football Union (RFU). Read more here

Former CSKA director sentenced to 13 years in prison for bribes

The Moscow Garrison Military Court sentenced the former head of CSKA Mikhail Baryshev, finding him guilty of taking bribes when organizing deliveries, including computer monitors. As it became known on July 30, 2024, the ex-head of the army sports club was sentenced to 13 years in a maximum security colony. Read more here

Former deputy head of CSKA sentenced to 11.5 years in prison for bribes

On February 13, 2024, it became known that the Savelovsky Court of Moscow sentenced the former deputy head of the CSKA sports club Viktor Stoilos. For bribes on a large scale, the man received 11 years and 6 months in a maximum security correctional colony. After the verdict was announced, Stoilos was taken into custody in the courtroom, handcuffed. Read more here.
