2025: Softline Venture Partners bought a stake in ScrollTool
Venture fund Softline Venture Partners acquired a stake in the Russian designer of online courses and interactive simulators ScrollTool, specializing in the corporate EdTech segment. The transaction was completed in March 2025, the amount of investments and the size of the acquired share are not disclosed.
ScrollTool is a tool for developing online longrid courses and interactive simulators without the need for complex customizations. The platform is already integrated with leading training management systems (LMS) and has an open API for connecting to companies' HR portals.
Over 2.5 years since the launch of the first version of the service, more than 100 companies of various sizes have become its clients - from large businesses to small enterprises. The solution is also available for purchase by freelancers under a special line of tariffs.
Elena Volotovskaya, Managing Director of the Softline Venture Partners Fund, noted that the segment of additional professional online education, including training for corporate employees, continues to demonstrate growth. In a situation of constant changes, the concept of continuing education is increasingly being implemented, which meets the needs of specialists and companies to meet the level of technological development and possession of modern tools.
The extension vocational education segment remains one of the largest in the EdTech market and continues to grow, according to SmartRanking. The revenue of the top 100 EdTech companies for the IV quarter of 2024 amounted to ₽40,8 billion, which is 12.3% more than in the same period in 2023.
Co-founder of ScrollTool Dmitry Mardanovsky stressed that cooperation with such a large and reliable partner as Softline will accelerate the development of the service and allow in the foreseeable future to provide modern, convenient and reliable world-class solutions for corporate training not only in Russia, but also abroad.
