2025: Power Plant Launch
In the Republic Dagestan , the supply of electricity to the unified energy system of the country with the first stage of the Novolak wind farm, built by the structure "," has officially started. Rosatom After the completion of all stages of construction, the installed capacity of the wind farm will be 300 MW, which makes it the largest in, and Russia investments in the project exceed ₽50 billion. The publication writes about this Kommersant on December 1, 2025.
In 2025, 61 wind power plants with a total capacity of 152.5 MW were launched. The second phase, which includes 59 wind power plants with a capacity of 147.5 MW, should be commissioned in 2026.
DagestanThe expected average annual generation of electricity will reach 879 million kVt·ch, which will provide energy to about 240 thousand houses. The project is being built in Novolaksky and Kumtorkalinsky districts with 85% localization of key equipment production. Nacelles, generators and cooling systems are produced at the Atommash plant in Volgodonsk.
The corporation's composite division produces blades about 50 meters long and weighing more than 7.5 tons. The first blades are already installed at an altitude of about 150 meters, which corresponds to the height of a 45-story building. Wind plants have a capacity of 2.5 MW each.
General Director of Rosatom Renewable Energy Grigory Nazarov noted the importance of the facility for the fuel and energy complex of the region. He emphasized the station's contribution to the economic stability and social well-being of the republic's residents.
First Deputy Prime Minister of Dagestan Manvel Majontz said that the project will increase the reliability of power supply and create about 70 permanent jobs. Construction is carried out at a faster pace.
Novolak Wind Power Plant is part of the state's systematic work to develop environmentally friendly power, improve the quality of life and infrastructure in the republic. This is one of five major renewable power projects in Dagestan.[1]
2024: Construction begins
At the end of November 2024, Rosatom Renewable Energy JSC began construction of the Novolak Wind Farm in Dagestan. As part of the ceremony, the first foundation of the future energy facility worth ₽50 billion was poured.
The project is being implemented on the territory of the Kumtorkalinsky and Novolaksky districts of the republic. The wind farm will become the largest in Russia with a total installed capacity of 300 MW.
Construction will be carried out in two stages. In 2025, it is planned to commission 61 wind plants with a total capacity of 152.5 MW. By 2026, it is planned to complete the installation of another 59 installations with a capacity of 147.5 MW.
| The emergence of a new region of the state corporation's presence on the map of Russia will make a significant contribution to the effective operation of the region's fuel and energy complex, guaranteeing the economic stability and well-being of Dagestan citizens, "said Grigory Nazarov, Director General of Rosatom Renewable Energy JSC. |
More than 150 units of equipment and 190 workers and engineering specialists are involved at the construction site. Work is underway on the construction of road entrances, crane platforms and piles for the foundations of wind plants.
For the production of concrete mixture, a plant with a capacity of 140 cubic meters per hour was installed at the site. Additionally, three concrete plants with a total capacity of 200 cubic meters per hour were involved.
The planned average annual electricity generation of the Novolak wind farm will be 879 million kilowatt-hours. This volume is enough to provide electricity to 240 thousand households.
The project is designed to provide additional energy generation for the power system of Dagestan, create new jobs and increase tax revenues to the budget of the republic.[2]
