2025: Establishment of the Centre

October 21, 2025 Ministry of Industry and Trade RUSSIAN FEDERATION initiated a pilot project to create a center for the detection, prevention and elimination of the consequences of computer attacks on vehicles. According to Vedomosti, the main task of the center is to identify vulnerabilities in automotive software, collect telematic data on the operation of software and hardware components, test the possibilities of unauthorized access to transport management and develop effective protection measures. The duration of the experiment will be nine months. The research will involve self-driving trucks, electric buses, civil servants' vehicles and transport carrying dangerous goods.
