Owners

FyberTrade is engaged in the development and production of fiber-optic transceivers, passive spectral compaction systems and other solutions in the field of optoelectronics, digital and microwave electronics, including on a contract basis the Company owns the only plant in Russia for the production of fiber-optic transceivers, circuitry, design and technical documentation for which it develops its own R&D division. The main customers of FiberTrade are telecom operators and data centers.

History

2025: Inclusion in the "Map of Russian manufacturers of telecom equipment" according to TAdviser

The company "Faybertrade" is included in the "Map of Russian manufacturers of telecom equipment," prepared by TAdviser in November 2025. Read more here.

2024: Rosatom bought 50% of Future Technologies

On November 13, 2024, it became known that the state corporation Rosatom acquires 50% of the Novosibirsk manufacturer of telecom equipment, Faybertrade LLC (Future Technologies brand). The value of the asset is approximately 7 billion rubles.

According to RBC, referring to information received from informed sources, Rosatom requires a deal to fulfill the requirement to switch to Russian telecom equipment. In particular, the state corporation will be able to partially close the needs "for trusted and modern transceivers and switches" for critical information infrastructure (CII). Future Technologies develops, manufactures and supplies optical components, channel sealing equipment, programmers, etc.

Rosatom bought 50% of Novosibirsk telecom equipment manufacturer Future Technologies

Market participants say that Rosatom could choose Future Technologies because of the key position of this company in the transceiver market and the focus on domestic production. Moreover, as emphasized, Future Technologies is actively developing its own production of products, and not just importing products from abroad. For the company, a deal with the state corporation will significantly speed up localization and increase the volume of device production.

Nikolai Komlev, director of the Association of Computer and Information Technology Enterprises (APKIT), chairman of the council of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry for the Development of the Digital Economy, says that the acquisition of a 50 percent stake in Future Technologies will help Rosatom reduce its dependence on foreign partners. The deal is part of the state corporation's strategy to form its own ecosystem: this is expected to make it possible to provide a higher-level service to consumers and facilitate access to world markets.[1]

2022: The start of the development of optical transceivers using a photon-integrated circuit

Future Technologies announced on December 29, 2022 that it is starting the development and production of optical transceivers using a photon-integrated circuit (FIS).

A four-party agreement was signed between Future Technologies (FayberTrade LLC), FSBUN A.F. Ioffe Institute of Physics and Technology (A.F. Ioffe FTI), FIS Zelenograd Nanotechnology Center (ZNTC JSC) and FSAOU HE "National Research University" Moscow Institute of Electronic Technology "(NIU MIET).

The project involves the development and production of transceivers for data centers at a speed of 100-400 Gbps using FIS.

Distribution of tasks in the project:

  • NIU MIET - training of specialized personnel and development of FIS design tools.
  • JSC ZNTC - design, installation and development of the FIS manufacturing technology.
  • Ioffe FTI - development of new configurations of laser sources suitable for heterogeneous integration of FIS - the most cost-effective assembly technology.
  • Future Technologies - development of TA at FIS, process setting and serial production of transceivers with FIS.

The use of FIS reduces the cost of production, optimizes the production process and takes the first step towards the creation of high-speed Russian devices based on silicon photonics, which brings the industry closer to achieving world speeds of 1,6 Tbit and higher. The production of transceivers with FIS will allow you to compete on equal terms with large global transceiver companies.

The use of transceivers with FIS allows customers to obtain a completely Russian device with domestic ECB, thereby ensuring independence from foreign supply of components.

2020: Inclusion in the Consortium ANO TT

The domestic developer and manufacturer of fiber-optic transceivers (SFP modules) for data transmission - the company "FiberTrade" - entered the Consortium of ANO "Telecommunications Technologies" (ANO TT), formed by the state corporation "Rostec," PJSC "Rostelecom" and the group of companies "Element." This was announced on June 8, 2020 by the ANO TT Consortium.

We launched the production of fiber-optic transceivers and are their only manufacturer in the country. The company "FiberTrade" has its own developments, element base and software. We believe that the use of Russian equipment is the main condition for ensuring the country's information security. The strategic goal to which the work in the Consortium will be aimed is to replace imported network equipment with Russian-made equipment and enter foreign markets with domestic products,
reported by Alexey Yunin, director of FayberTrade.
