In order to provide the appropriate service and support for the companies of the Skolkovo innovation center, the project created a technopark, the main task of which is to provide services to startups, help them in formalized preparation of documents, development of business plans and, more importantly, in the future, this is the provision of a laboratory base for conducting appropriate experiments in the format of their activities.

History

2022: Opening co-working space for hardware startups

a co-working space for hardware startups has opened in the Skolkovo Technopark. The Fund announced this on September 28, 2022.

MegaHackspace is a technology co-working space for engineers where they can rent work areas for long periods of time. The site concept is based on the fact that residents and partners of the Fund are provided with space with equipment for a large range of tasks: from the development of a prototype to the launch of small-scale production.

The total area of MegaHackspace is 1200 m2. The space is designed for 80 people with individual jobs. The coworking area has more than 40 types of manual and electrical devices for engineers, workshops and workshops with professional equipment and machines, 3D printing, painting and electronics areas.

{{quote 'author = said Igor Drozdov, Chairman of the Board of the Skolkovo Foundation.|MegaHackspace was in demand, 75% of the space for September 2022 has already been pre-ordered. Young technological teams, Skolkovo residents, can create and test a prototype here. The Moscow Government helped us in creating MegaHackspace by allocating 75 million rubles, but in addition, private investments were also attracted, }}

All equipment is equipped with QR codes and works according to the principle of sharing: specialists will be able to use the necessary tools only after training and knowledge testing. CCPs (collective use centers) are also available, which provide services for welding, metalworking, 3D printing and 3D prototyping.

The Technopark opened in 2017. From the first days, we thought how to fill it with something useful and necessary for residents to choose us. The idea came to create a space that would turn out to be small, but at the same time very popular. We knew the exact list that we needed, those technological processes that need to be made available to residents,
noted Renat Batyrov, General Director of the Skolkovo Technopark.

The set of tools, which is available as early as September 2022, closes a large range of startup needs . One of the main amenities of this space is round-the-clock access to the workshop, there is excellent lighting, you do not interfere with anyone and can be engaged in the production or refinement of the product. Those who are a fan of the DIY production process will appreciate all the convenience of renting such a multifunctional space,
added Leonid Golofeev, CEO of Adcar.me, a resident company of the Skolkovo Foundation.

One of the suppliers of equipment for MegaHackspace was InKata, whose engineers provide development and prototyping of new products. Additional resources allow you to get the first prototype in a short time, save on equipment and draw up a plan for product improvements. Another supplier was Top 3D Shop, which provided scanners and printers for 3D printing.

The old Hackspace was designed for only 50 seats, but at the peak the number of engineers on the site reached 75 people, which is more than it could accommodate, so there was an idea to expand and create a new space. As of September 2022, it can nominally accommodate about 80 specialists, and in the future we plan to expand to 100 seats,
told Vladimir Garanin, MegaHackspace administrator.

The rental cost for residents of the Skolkovo Foundation is 11,200 rubles per month. The tenant receives a personal place to work, access to all equipment, and can purchase all basic consumables for development in a special vending machine.

2018

If in 2017 the R&D infrastructure served about a hundred orders, then in 2018 there were at least twice as many, and the total budget exceeded two hundred million rubles.

2015: How the technopark works

Consultation Centre

At the beginning of 2015, consulting and information support was provided by the Consulting Center. The specialists of the center talk not only about the advantages of the status of a Participant in the Skolkovo project, but also describe in detail the procedure for obtaining it. Consultants can obtain information on grants from the Skolkovo Foundation, as well as on all support tools that the Skolkovo ecosystem provides to its startups. The consultation center regularly informs project participants about all initiatives, activities and activities.

Olga Platonova, head of the Consulting Center: "Our center is a single window service. At the stage of first acquaintance with Skolkovo, our specialists explain, for example, the peculiarities of applying for the status or registration of a legal entity - the future Skolkovo Project Participant. Further, at the stage of adaptation of companies that have become participants in the project , the Consulting Center can orient how and what preferences the participating company can receive. We constantly update the line of services, first of all identifying the needs of our participants, and, of course, controlling the quality of the services provided, both our own and our accredited partners. "

External Provider Services

At the beginning of 2015, Skolkovo Technopark provides project participants with services provided not only by its own resources, but also by external contractors. Among the internal services, in addition to consulting and information support, there are also:

  • Cisco teleconferencing services,
  • postal service,
  • visa-migration support,
  • services to bring the draft charters of applicants in line with the requirements of Skolkovo.

External services provided by accredited providers include:

  • technology services,
  • accounting services,
  • legal support,
  • housing service (assistance in the selection of housing for rent),
  • marketing services,
  • personnel services,
  • services for obtaining licensing and permitting documentation.

2014

57 residents

As of December 15, 2014, 57 residents worked at the Skolkovo Technopark, 29 collective use centers, 12 services for residents and 20 accredited service companies operated.

Collective Use Centers

Technology services are a special research infrastructure for speeding up project development and bringing products to market. Providers of the Centers for Collective Use (CCP) perform customer work on modern research and technological equipment at the level of the world's leading universities and professional companies specializing in experimental production.

They use the software to process the results. Special attention is paid to working with customers. It includes conducting personal demos, training users, and organizing seminars.

As of December 2014, 29 CCPs are accredited in the areas of prototyping, metrological research, biomedical services and testing center services. CPC provides printers, CNC machines, metrological solutions, a complete set of services for biomedical research.

"We accredit the Collective Use Centers of the Skolkovo Technopark so that the project participants have the opportunity to quickly and efficiently create a prototype or conduct research without purchasing expensive equipment. This allows you to save some of the most important resources for the startup: time and money, as well as make the project more attractive for the investor and prepare it for entering the market, "said Andrei Sartori, director of R&D services development
.

To ensure the speed of execution of orders, the terms of reference are considered in the presence of the customer, and orders of Skolkovo Project Participants are worked out as a priority.

2012: Progress in construction

The D2 technopark zone, designed by the Valode & Pistre bureau in conjunction with the dean of the Harvard School of Design Mohsen Mostafavi, is the technopark itself (146 thousand square meters), the offices of majors and post-startups, production and research centers of the 5 main industry clusters (IT, biomed, space and telecom, kernel, energy tech), collective use center, residential buildings, elementary school, kindergartens, family sports center, trade and household services).

In March 2012, an open competition for residential development in the zone of Technopark D2, initiated by the Skolkovo Foundation, ended. The competition was attended by an unprecedented number of applications in the history of domestic architecture - more than 500. As a result, it selected the work of 10 contestants who will design residential buildings in the area.

Within the framework of the technopark, a personnel center was created to create a recruiting database of vacancies and job seekers required to work in resident companies.
