Deputy Prime Minister RFDmitry Chernyshenko at a meeting of the Committee on Digital Transformation and Innovative Development of the Board of Directors of Russian Railways on June 21, 2021 approved the creation of the National Center for Import Substitution of ERP Systems on the basis of the company.

This center will develop standard solutions for replacing foreign products with domestic ones, adapting them to the request of the Russian market, as well as to advise companies on the direction of import substitution.

Russian Railways created a national center of competence for import substitution of ERP systems

Dmitry Chernyshenko instructed the Ministry of Digital Affairs, together with Russian Railways, to develop a "roadmap" for transferring ERP resource planning systems to domestic software by the end of 2024.

Russian Railways traditionally uses the ERP system of the German company SAP. In Russia, it is successfully competed with, in particular, 1C: Enterprise and Galaxy. Russian Railways has repeatedly announced plans to replace SAP products with Russian systems.

Oleg Belozerov, General Director of Russian Railways, in June 2021 drew attention to the need for a comprehensive approach to achieving digital transformation.
