2020: Creation of joint venture by Sberbank and Soyuzmultfilm

Sberbank and FSUE Soyuzmultfilm created a joint venture - Soyuzmultfilm LLC. Sberbank announced this on July 15, 2020.

Sberbank, acquiring 80% in Soyuzmultfilm LLC (a subsidiary of FSUE Soyuzmultfilm Film Studio), at the first stage invests more than 1 billion rubles. in the development of Russian animation.

As part of the cooperation, it is planned to create special content, primarily children's animation, new film studio projects will be produced - TV shows for preschoolers and schoolchildren, full-length films for family audiences.

Soviet and Russian animation schools occupy a worthy place in the world film industry. During Soviet times, a huge number of copyright schools and techniques, as well as outstanding cartoons, were created. But July 2020, unfortunately, the country is not even among the top ten industry leaders. In recent years, there has been a revival of animation in the country. Animated works appear and become popular. Russia has creative potential in this area, and we will help with our technologies and other resources domestic talents to unlock their own opportunities.
