SME Corporation operates as a development institute in the field of small and medium-sized businesses in order to coordinate the provision of support to small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) provided for by the Federal Law of 24.07.2007 No. 209-FZ "On the Development of Small and Medium-Sized Businesses in the Russian Federation" after changing the name of the joint-stock company "Non-bank deposit and credit organization" Agency of Credit Guarantees "

The Federal Corporation for the Development of Small and Medium-Sized Businesses (SME Corporation) operates as a development institute in the field of small and medium-sized businesses. The main activities of the SME Corporation are:

• providing financial support to SMEs by issuing independent guarantees and guarantees, including as part of a special credit and guarantee support tool developed jointly with the Bank of Russia ("6.5% Program");
• implementation of measures to increase access of SMEs to procurement of companies with state participation;
• property support, including in the form of transfer to ownership, possession and (or) use of real estate objects;
• Information and Marketing Support
• organization of a system of legal support measures.

History

2023: Agreement with RTKomm and Rubetek on the production of domestic satellite equipment

The federal operator RTCOMM, Rubetek and SME Corporation entered into a tripartite agreement on the results of the selection for the supply of satellite modems, a central earth communication station and subscriber devices. RTCOMM announced this on October 9, 2023. Read more here.

A.Isaevich replaces A.Braverman as CEO

In December 2020, Alexander Braverman left the post of general director of the SME Corporation.

CEO of SME Corporation Alexander Braverman left his post. Alexander Isaevich, Deputy Head of the Department of Entrepreneurship and Innovative Development of Moscow, has been appointed the new head of the corporation.

Transition under the control of ВЭБ.РФ

On November 23, 2020, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin announced a large-scale optimization of development institutions. Some of them will come under the control of the state corporation ВЭБ.РФ. More details here.
