Office of the Federal Tax Service for the Moscow Region

The Office of the Federal Tax Service for the Moscow Region is a territorial body of the Federal Tax Service and is part of a single centralized system of tax authorities. Performs the functions of control and supervision over compliance with the legislation on taxes and fees, for the correct calculation, completeness and timeliness of taxes and fees, in cases stipulated by the legislation of the Russian Federation, due to the correct calculation, completeness and timeliness of making other mandatory payments to the relevant budget, for the production and circulation of tobacco products and for compliance with the currency legislation of the Russian Federation within the competence of the tax authorities. The Department carries out state registration of legal entities, individuals as individual entrepreneurs, peasant (farm) farms, presents in bankruptcy cases and in bankruptcy proceedings claims for the payment of mandatory payments and claims of the Russian Federation on monetary obligations (Regulation on the Office of the Federal Tax Service for the Moscow Region, approved by Federal Tax Service of Russia May 28, 2012).

History

2004: Transformation into the Office of the Federal Tax Service for the Moscow Region

In accordance with the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation of March 9, 2004 No. 314, the Ministry of Taxes and Duties of the Russian Federation was reorganized into the Federal Tax Service as part of the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation, and the Office of the Ministry of Taxes and Duties in the Moscow Region, respectively, to the Office of the Federal Tax Service in the Moscow Region.

1999: Transformation into the Office of the Ministry of the Russian Federation for Taxes and Duties in the Moscow Region

According to the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation of December 23, 1998 No. 1635 "On the Ministry of Taxes and Duties of the Russian Federation," the State Tax Service of the Russian Federation is removed from the Ministry of Finance and transformed into the Ministry of Taxes and Duties. On August 3, 1999, Order of the Ministry of Taxes and Duties of the Russian Federation No. AP-2B-20/194 "On the Transformation of the State Tax Inspectorate for the Moscow Region" was signed. In accordance with this document, the State Tax Inspectorate for the Moscow Region was transformed into the Office of the Ministry of Taxes and Duties for the Moscow Region.

1990: Formation of the State Tax Inspectorate for the Moscow Region

By order of the Main Financial Directorate of the Moscow Regional Executive Committee No. 22 of June 15, 1990, the functions and approximate structure of the State Tax Inspectorate for the Moscow Region (GNI for the Moscow Region) were determined.
