Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergencies of Russia for the Tula Region

The Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergencies of Russia for the Tula Region (until January 1, 2005 - the Main Directorate for Civil Defense and Emergency Situations of the Tula Region) as the main tasks:

• implements state policy in the field of civil defense, protection of the population and territories from emergency situations, ensuring fire safety and people's safety at water bodies in the Tula region within the limits of established powers;
• administers within its competence in the field of civil defense, protection of the population and territories from emergency situations, ensuring fire safety and people's safety in water bodies;
• Performs, in accordance with the established procedure, supervisory and control functions in the field of civil defense, protection of the population and territories from emergency situations, ensuring fire safety and human safety at water bodies in the Tula region;
• carries out activities within its competence for the organization and conduct of civil defense, emergency response in emergency situations, including emergency humanitarian response, protection of the population and territories from emergencies and fires, ensuring the safety of people in water bodies in the Tula region.
