BSU - Baikal State University

The Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education "Baikal State University" is an educational organization of higher education, carrying out as the main purpose of its activities educational activities in educational programs of higher education and scientific activities created to carry out educational, scientific, social and other functions of a non-commercial nature.

History

2018

In accordance with the Decree of the President of the Russian Federation of May 15, 2018 No. 215 "On the Structure of Federal Executive Bodies" and the Order of the Government of the Russian Federation of June 27, 2018 No. 1293-r, the University was transferred to the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation.

2015: Renamed Baikal State University

By order of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation dated October 29, 2015 No. 1252, the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Professional Education "Baikal State University of Economics and Law" was renamed the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Education "Baikal State University."

2011

By order of the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation dated April 28, 2011 No. 1556, it was renamed the Federal State Budgetary Educational Institution of Higher Professional Education "Baikal State University of Economics and Law."

2002: Renamed Baikal State University of Economics and Law

By order of the Ministry of Education of the Russian Federation dated April 26, 2002 No. 1550, the Irkutsk State Economic Academy was renamed the Baikal State University of Economics and Law State Educational Institution of Higher Professional Education.

1993: Renamed Irkutsk State Academy of Economics

The Irkutsk Institute of National Economy by order of the State Committee of the Russian Federation for Higher Education of October 28, 1993 No. 298 was renamed the Irkutsk State Economic Academy.

1965: Renamed the Irkutsk Institute of National Economy

By order of the Council of Ministers of the RSFSR of March 5, 1965 No. 585-r, by order of the Minister of Higher and Secondary Special Education of the USSR of March 9, 1965 No. 80 and by order of the Minister of Higher and Secondary Special Education of the RSFSR of March 11, 1965 No. 178, the Irkutsk Financial and Economic Institute was renamed the Irkutsk Institute of National Economy.

1939: Renamed the Irkutsk Financial and Economic Institute

In 1939, the Siberian Institute of Finance and Economics was renamed the Irkutsk Institute of Finance and Economics.

1930: Education of the Siberian Financial and Economic Institute

The university was formed by Decree of the Council of People's Commissars of the USSR of August 11, 1930 No. 305 by reorganizing the financial department of the Faculty of Economics of Irkutsk State University into the Siberian Financial and Economic Institute and is housed in the former building of the Alexander-Mariinsky School, founded in 1894 to commemorate the 25th anniversary of the August married couple Alexander III and Maria Fedorovna Romanov.
