Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergencies of Russia for the Volgograd Region

The main tasks of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergencies of Russia for the Volgograd Region are:

• implementation of state policy in the field of civil defense, protection of the population and territories from emergency situations, ensuring fire safety and people's safety at water bodies in the Volgograd region within the limits of established powers;
• management within its competence in the field of civil defense, protection of the population and territories from emergency situations, ensuring fire safety and people's safety in water bodies;
• Performing, in accordance with the established procedure, supervisory and control functions in the field of civil defense, protecting the population and territories from emergency situations, ensuring fire safety and people's safety at water bodies in the Volgograd region;
• carrying out activities within the limits of its competence for organizing and conducting civil defense, emergency response in emergency situations, including emergency humanitarian response, protection of the population and territories from emergency situations and fires, ensuring the safety of people in water bodies in the territory of the constituent entity of the Russian Federation.
