The company specializes in marine and power engineering. The company creates ship mechanisms, systems and complexes that are supplied for military and civilian ships. The enterprise provides installation, adjustment, service and repair of the supplied equipment. OJSC Proletarsky Zavod has research, experimental and high-tech production bases.

Performance indicators

2024: Net losses in the amount of 524.9 million rubles

As TAdviser found out in mid-November 2025, the shipbuilding Proletarsky Zavod suffered net losses of 524.9 million rubles in 2024. For comparison, a year earlier, the company received 29.14 million rubles of net profit.

The company's revenue in 2024 amounted to 3.02 billion rubles against 4.3 billion rubles a year earlier: this corresponds to a drop of about 30%. The cost of sales on an annualized basis fell from 2.89 billion rubles to 1.9 billion rubles. Commercial expenses are not reflected in the accounting documentation, while management expenses rose from 1.05 billion rubles to 1.15 billion rubles. Under the article "other income" there was an increase from 282.51 million rubles to 326.4 million rubles. Other expenses jumped from 474.35 million rubles to 791.12 million rubles.

Shipbuilding "Proletarsky Zavod" ended the year with losses of 524 million rubles

Revenues from the sale of products, goods, works and services increased from 4.36 billion rubles in 2023 to 4.47 billion rubles in 2024. Payments to suppliers (contractors) for raw materials, materials, works and services decreased from 2.42 billion rubles to 2.01 billion rubles. Expenses in connection with the remuneration of workers amounted to 1.56 billion rubles against 1.88 billion rubles in 2023.

Receivables of the Proletarsky Zavod as of December 31, 2024 are indicated in the amount of 2.24 billion rubles. For comparison, a year earlier it was at around 2.99 billion rubles. Accounts payable (payments for which are expected more than 12 months after the reporting date) increased on an annualized basis from 3.63 billion rubles to 4.37 billion rubles.

History

2025: Appointment of Andrey Kostin as CEO

In early November 2025, it became known that Andrei Kostin was appointed to the post of general director of the Proletarsky Zavod, which is part of the United Shipbuilding Corporation (USC). In this position, he replaced Igor Burtsev, who led the enterprise since December 2024. Read more here.
