2025: Sending the Dean of the Faculty Andrei Safronenko to the pre-trial detention center in the case of a bribe
On May 20, 2025, the Investigation Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Rostov Region announced the detention of the dean of the faculty of one of the local universities. He is suspected of taking a bribe on a large scale. Read more here.
2024: Appointment of Olesya Starzhinskaya as rector
In June 2024, Minister of Health Mikhail Murashko appointed Olesya Starzhinskaya, Vice-Rector for Strategic Development and Digital Transformation of Rostov State Medical University (RostGMU), as the new head of the university.
