Raising $1.4 million in investments

Startup NFWare, a developer ON for virtualizations network functions, on January 14, 2021 announced TAdviser an increase of $1.4 million from an international group of investors, including Softline Venture Partners Plug and Play Ventures and business angels from Google Research. The company will direct the raised funds to expand the product line for processing network traffic. The company plans to present products on the market in 2021.

NFWare develops virtual networking solutions for telecom operators and Internet companies. They are able to cope with a large amount of traffic, while working on standard servers, including in virtual or cloud environments. NFWare products can scale quickly in response to the growth of user requests and, according to developers, require up to 10 times less hardware resources than products from market leaders Cisco, Juniper, Huawei, Nokia, Ericsson.

Virtual CGNAT's flagship solution can handle large volumes of traffic - up to 240 Gbps. on a single server. The solution is based on the patented NFWare MultiCore Network Stack technology, which allows you to achieve high traffic processing speed on standard servers.

2017

Investments of $2 million from AFK Sistema and a number of venture capital funds

The venture capital fund of AFK Sistema Vladimir Yevtushenkov - Sistema Venture Capital - in March 2017 announced that it had invested in NFWare, acting as this round of financing by a lead investor. The company also invested venture capital funds with Russian roots Almaz Capital, Maxfield Capital and one of the world's largest telecom operators Telefonica. The investment consultant of the round was the Skolkovo Technopark, whose resident is NFWare.

The total investment amounted to $2 million. The volume of investments from each investor and the shares acquired at the round were not disclosed.

Following Europe, NFWare plans to master the US market

According to the research company Analysys Mason Group, cited by Sistema Venture Capital, at the end of 2016, the market for solutions for virtualization of network infrastructure (NFV) amounted to $2.4 billion. By 2023, it could reach $29 billion.

About NFWare

NFWare is a Russian startup founded in 2014 on the basis of the Center for Applied Research of Computer Networks. According to March 2017, the company is developing network software based on NFV (virtualization of network functions) and SDN (software-defined networks) technologies, which allow partially transferring network infrastructure functions to a virtual environment.

NFWare raised $500,000
