History
2023: MTS bought 49% of Infomatika
On March 10, 2023, MTS announced the purchase of 49% of Infomat, which operates under the Infomatika brand on the market. The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.
According to Interfax, citing data from the SPARK-Interfax system, Infomat's share was bought by MTS subsidiary MTS Center for Artificial Intelligence (MTS AI) from Infomat CEO David Tartakovsky, who still has 51% of the developer of smart turnstiles and ticket systems.
MTS reported that the integration of Infomatics developments in the field of access control, including its own line of turnstiles and payment terminals with technologies for face recognition and face payment systems VisionLabs (a subsidiary of MTS AI) will allow implementing projects for the transport industry, sports and cultural facilities, educational organizations. Both companies have experience in the foreign markets of the Middle East and Latin America, where they plan to continue working together, MTS emphasized.
The logic of the company's development required the involvement of a strategic partner to reach a new level, including as part of the development of international business. Making a decision to cooperate with the MTS AI team and, in particular, VisionLabs, as a long-time technology partner, turned out to be logical and most promising for us, "said David Tartakovsky. |
It is noted that Infomatika has its own design bureau and production complex for the design and serial production of its own products. By March 2023, the company had implemented more than 200 projects, in particular, Infomatics technologies were used to build a system for controlling audience access to world sports arenas.[1]
