HealthifyMe is an Indian developer of a healthy lifestyle and fitness application. The service provides measurable results in healthy eating, fitness and weight management by tracking lifestyle, providing access to training sessions and using an AI solution to draw up Ria personal food plans. By July 2021, the company has more than 250 employees in Bangalore, Kuala Lumpur and Singapore. The application has 25 million users in more than 300 cities and offers the services of more than 1,500 trainers.

History

2021: Raising $75 million including from AFK Sistema Fund

July 20, 2021 HealthifyMe announced the attraction of investments in the amount of $75 million. Among the investors was the Sistema Asia Fund (SAF). Chiratae Ventures, Inventus Capital, Unilever Ventures, Elm and Healthquad also participated in the funding round.

The Indian startup intends to spend the received funds for development of the decision with use of the artificial intelligence (AI) of HealthifySmart, double increase in the staff of developers and hiring of leading experts in the field of operating activities, marketing, HR and digital technologies.

In addition to India, the service is available in Malaysia and Singapore - they account for almost 25% of revenue. In the future, the company plans to enter the market of North America.

Andrei Terebenin, Managing Partner of Sistema Asia Fund, commenting on investing in HealthifyMe, noted that the coronavirus pandemic COVID-19 has strengthened consumers' desire to be conscious of their health, prevent diseases and maintain good physical fitness.

Against this background, the global market for digital solutions to maintain a healthy life, reduce weight and control chronic diseases has increased significantly. We first invested in HealthifyMe in 2018. Since then, the company has been showing impressive growth rates and we are waiting for its further development by entering new markets and strengthening the team, "he said.[1]
