Exotel is an Indian cloud telephony service. The company develops a platform for interaction with customers through calls and SMS. According to Exotel's own data, about 6 thousand companies in the USA, Southeast Asia, Africa and other regions use the solution. Among the partners are Flikart, Ola, Ixigo (by the end of September 2021).

2021: Raising $35 million
At the end of September 2021, it became known about the investment of $35 million in Exotel. In the Series C funding round, Sistema Asia Fund, AFC Sistema venture fund, took part.
In addition, IIFL, CX Partners, Singularity Growth Opportunities Fund, former Vodafone CEO Arun Sarin and a number of business angels, as well as Blume Ventures and A91 Capital, which had previously invested in Exotel, invested in the Indian startup.
The Exotel team intends to spend the funds raised on projects aimed at accelerating the growth of the company. By the end of September 2021, the company, it claims, is working on the creation of the largest cloud platform for interaction with customers in emerging markets.

According to him, the company intends to double the staff by the end of September 2022. Within five years, it is planned to increase annual recurring revenue (ARR) to $200 million.[1]
