According to MTS representatives, the public cloud platform MWS will be an ecosystem of infrastructure and network services, tools for storing and processing data, PaaS services and solutions for protecting cloud infrastructure. The platform is slated to become available to businesses and users in 2025.

Among the Enterprise-level products, MWS expects to launch by the end of 2024: storage, computing and information security services, databases, network and enterprise services, applications for developers. MWS will also launch a dedicated cloud segment entirely on Russian software and equipment.

Another area that MWS intends to launch in 2024 will be the AI cloud. According to the company's plans, it will include: a virtual infrastructure with GPU accelerators, specialized software for the development, training and deployment of ML models, ready-made AI models for different industries and directions, available via API, and AI services based on the SaaS model. In addition, if necessary, MWS will be able to provide the customer with a team of experienced experts who will help at all stages of implementation and use of AI.

"Training today's large language models and introducing them into business processes requires a huge amount of computing resources, as well as attracting expensive specialists. Not every company can afford such an investment. To meet the growing demand, MWS will double its GPU capacity and provide them to customers so that as many companies as possible, regardless of their size, have the opportunity to train and introduce their ML models into the business, "said Igor Zarubinsky, vice president for infrastructure development at MTS, head of MWS.

In addition, MWS strengthens its own information security. To do this, the company integrates a number of MTS RED services into its cloud. MTS RED solutions will ensure the protection of all cloud services of the provider, including those not related to cybersecurity - for example, infrastructure, network, business applications, development environments and others. As conceived by the company, this will make migration to the cloud even more secure.

Finally, MWS will create Professional Services to address non-trivial IT business challenges. Its specialists will help clients audit the IT infrastructure and information security solutions of the enterprise, draw up a strategy for their cloud development, as well as migrate to a dedicated segment of virtual infrastructure and take over support for hybrid and private installations.
