2024: Creation of the company

In mid-June 2024, Ozon registered Ozone Leasing with an authorized capital of 70 million rubles. The new legal entity will be engaged in leasing activities, which is confirmed by entries in the Unified State Register of Legal Entities (USRUL).

As Frank Media writes with reference to the Unified State Register of Legal Entities, Alexander Stepanov has been appointed General Director of Ozone Leasing. The leasing company was created as part of Ozon's strategy to develop new financial products and services, which is implemented by Ozon Fintech. In early June 2024, Ozon Fintech CEO Vae Hovasapian noted at a meeting with investors that the marketplace is working on launching acquiring and leasing businesses for customers and partners.

Ozon has created its own leasing company

Earlier, Ozon and Gazprombank Leasing signed a cooperation agreement. Under this agreement, it is planned to implement leasing transactions in the field of supplies of freight and passenger transport, as well as financing facilities for the construction of warehouse complexes. This partnership is a continuation of the cooperation, which began in April 2023. Gazprombank Leasing financed the supply of 450 commercial vehicles for Ozon, which helped to update and expand the company's logistics fleet.

According to Maxim Kalinkin, General Director of Gazprombank Leasing, the signing of the agreement with Ozon confirms mutually beneficial cooperation. Leasing financing of vehicle supplies is in demand by retailers and will only increase thanks to subsidy programs of the Ministry of Industry and Trade and loyalty projects of lessors.
