2020: MTS invested 125 million rubles in CoinKeeper

On September 11, 2020 MTS announced investment of 125 million rubles into CoinKeeper through the corporate venture fund. Within the transaction the operator of mobile and fixed connection became the minority shareholder of service of accounting of personal finance, expense control and savings. 

At the same time the share is not called, as well as the estimated value of a startup. The transaction will be structured in several tranches. The provided means will be aimed at the development of a product, creation of new features and entry into the European markets, the co-founder of CoinKeeper service Ilya Chernetsky reported.

By data " circuit.focus ", the Cyprian MTS Ventures Limited possesses 22.1% of Dizrapp LLC, another 47.9% — at Noreppa Investments Limited, 30% — at the founder Ilya Chernetsky.

In a startup of CoinKeeper are organically combined investment attractiveness for MTS venture fund and strategic value for an ecosystem of the company. The thought-over business model, the project gained trust of users of a startup and is the recognized leader of independent services for management of personal finance. We trust in the capacity of CoinKeeper therefore we made the decision to invest in a startup — the head of MTS Islam Midov venture fund said.

CoinKeeper — the graduate of the fifth set of an accelerator of MTS StartUp Hub, but before the operator did not invest in this financial technical-service, specified in MTS. It is noted that the telecommunication company by September 11, 2020 does not set the purpose on inclusion of a startup in the ecosystem.

According to the director of corporate development of Financial that MTS Sergey Smirnov, in the near future in Russia acceptance of normative regulation which will define implementation time and obligation of open API (the program interface of the application) that will lead to universal award enforcement on management of personal finance is expected.
