2024: New lift launch for $ ₽1 billion
The new six-seater chairlift Voskhod was launched on December 9, 2024 in test mode at the Sheregesh ski resort in the Kemerovo region. The facility worth ₽1 billion was created by the Cascade group of companies and is equipped with advanced wind protection technologies.
According to TASS, the chairman of the regional government Andrei Panov announced the launch of the lift following a meeting of the headquarters for the development of the resort. The facility is located in sector F next to the UMMC-Developer apart-complex.
The new lift manufactured by Doppelmayr is capable of transporting up to 2.4 thousand people per hour. The length of the route is 2.2 km. The cable car is equipped with wind covers, heated seats and a frame stabilization system, which allows it to be operated at wind speeds up to 20 m/s.
This is the first new generation cable car in this configuration in Russia. It will become part of the large-scale development of the resort's infrastructure, the rest of the lifts will be introduced gradually in accordance with the building queues.
According to the publication, the development of the Sheregesh resort is included in the program of socio-economic development of Kuzbass until 2024, approved by Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin. ₽3,2 billion from the budget has been allocated for the implementation of infrastructure projects.
Within the framework of the program, roads are being built, as well as the modernization of utility networks and the construction of new hotels. On the territory of the resort, UMMC-Developer is implementing the Shoria-Grad project, where the sale of apartments has already begun.
Also at the headquarters meeting, a major overhaul of school No. 11 in the village of Sheregesh was discussed. The building has reinforced load-bearing structures and window openings, plastering work is underway. In the near future, it is planned to replace windows[1]
2023: Construction of a ski resort in Kuzbass for billions of rubles
The Governor of the Kemerovo Region Sergei Tsivilev approved the project of a new tourist complex in Sheregesh. It will be implemented by AFK Sistema, the press service of the regional government said on October 6, 2023.
It is important that the concept of this complex fits perfectly into the landscape of Mountain Shoria. It takes into account various requests of visitors and provides areas for both outdoor activities and relaxation, walking ecotropes. It is necessary to make an artificial reservoir on the territory so that this place is attractive for tourists during the flight period, with water entertainment and fishing, - said Sergey Tsivilev. |
According to preliminary plans, a hotel, cottages for visitors, a congress center, helipads and a spacious parking lot will be located on an area of 100 hectares. At the same time, movement around the territory will be possible only on foot or by electric transport. For the convenience of visitors, shops, cafes, a bathhouse, as well as a hostel for workers of the complex will appear on the territory. Construction will be carried out in sector "E" of the Sheregesh ski resort.
Earlier, Cosmos Hotel Group (part of AFK Sistema) and the authorities of the Kemerovo region signed an agreement on the construction of the Cosmos Sheregesh hotel complex, in which the company intends to invest 1.2 billion rubles.
In 2021, Sergei Alekseev, deputy chairman of the Kuzbass government for culture, sports and tourism, said that "in the next three years, the preliminary investment of Cosmos Hotel Group in the development of Sheregesh is about 2 billion rubles."
By the beginning of October 2023, Sheregesh operates mainly as a ski resort: it has 26 ski slopes with a total length of about 56 km, 19 lifts, 93 hotels, 77 cafes and restaurants, 30 rental points, 15 parking lots.[2]
