Plan to create an SBT-RealGene expert kit to isolate DNA from forensics samples

Sistema-BioTech R&D , a laboratory engaged scientific in developments in the field of molecular biology, genetics and cellular technologies, announced on December 14, 2022 that it would develop and organize the production Russian of the SBT-RealGene expert kit for isolation from DNA samples for forensic analysis. The kit will be used for the needs of forensic experts and forensic specialists. With medicine its help, DNA can be isolated from physiological fluids, spots, samples of biological tissues, etc.

According to the company, there are no direct analogues of the SBT-RealGene expert set on the Russian market - in comparison with foreign competitors, it will have improved characteristics. For example, he will be able to identify the identity and establish kinship by degraded DNA and inhibited samples: blood to the ground, traces of saliva, hair, cigarette sample, gum, etc.

Investments in the development and launch of industrial production of kits amount to 205.2 million rubles. Half of this amount is provided by the Industrial Development Fund (FRP) in the form of a concessional loan. The FRP funds will be used to purchase the necessary equipment for development, raw materials and increase production capacity.

It is planned to produce kits at the organized "Sistema-BioTech" production site in the city of ObninskKaluga region. The site meets all international quality standards for the production of reagents used in forensic examinations. Sistema-BioTech plans to produce up to 2,000 expert sets annually, the level of localization of production will be up to 100%. The partner of the project for the implementation of the product will be the company Pushchinsky Laboratories.

The Russian market for test systems for forensic examination for December 2022 is a growing market niche from which key players have left. The goal of our project is to completely import substitution of test systems, making a product of the highest quality, providing criminologists of Russia with advanced tools for conducting investigations, "said Artem Sirazutdinov, General Director of Sistema-BioTech. - A world-class forensic kit will be created on the basis of our other product - a screening test system, which, despite the limited number of characteristics, according to our estimates, occupies more than 20% of the Russian screening kit market. New developments will allow the company to take a leading position in the production of products for identity identification.

2020

By the end of 2020, Sistema-BioTech launched 6 scientific and practical developments on the Russian market. The main ones were test systems for the early diagnosis of coronavirus infection.
