Yevtushenkov Vladimir was born in 1948 in a small settlement in the Smolensk Region. The parents of Vladimir Yevtushenkov worked at a local dairy (his father was the director of this enterprise, his mother worked as a milkmaid). Vladimir Yevtushenkov did not enter a higher education institution immediately after school. Instead, he joined the ranks of the army for his military service.

Vladimir Yevtushenkov graduated from the D. I. Mendeleev Institute of Chemical Technology in 1973, and in 1980 he received a second higher education, graduating from the Faculty of Economics of MSU.

Vladimir Yevtushenkov and his factory career
From 1973-1975, he was the foreman, senior foreman, and head of the Sverdlov Factory in Dzerzhinsk, Gorky Region.
From 1975 to 1982, Vladimir Petrovich was deputy director and chief engineer of the Karacharov Plastics Plant.
From 1982 to 1987, Yevtushenkov Vladimir was the chief engineer and then the first deputy general director of the scientific-production association Polimerbyt.

Creation of AFK Sistema by Vladimir Petrovich Yevtushenkov
Vladimir Petrovich Yevtushenkov was at the origins of the creation of the joint stock financial corporation Sistema, which was formed in 1993.

On the initiative and with the active participation of Vladimir Yevtushenkov, companies within the AFK Group's perimeter (as well as business structures that are not related to AFK) joined the effort against the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.
In April, the research laboratory of Sistema’s biotech asset registered a test system for detecting the presence of the virus in the body, even if symptoms are practically not manifested.
In turn, AFK’s pharmaceutical holding has significantly increased the production of antibiotics such as Azithromycin, Linezolid, Levofloxacin, Meropenem and Moxifloxacin, recommended for the treatment of the novel coronavirus infection.
And the company’s network of private clinics redesigned its flagship hospital in the capital into a full-fledged infectious diseases hospital. Sistema also promptly opened a specialized center for the diagnosis of disorders in patients who have recovered from the coronavirus.
Environmental initiatives of Yevtushenkov Vladimir
The AFK Group portfolio also includes a holding that is one of the largest forest users in the country, producing a wide range of high-quality products. The timber holding has implemented a number of solutions that are in line with the ESG agenda.
For example, the holding keeps records of forest areas where rare ecosystems have developed and annually monitors forests of high conservation value. The company demonstrates its commitment to voluntary forest certification, the most important mechanism for preserving forests on the planet.
The timber giant also allocates significant financial resources for the sustainable management of forest resources and control of the organization of product supply chains.
