2025: The ex-head of the IT department of the Pension Fund in Krasnoyarsk was given 9 years in prison for bribes
The former head of the department of information technology the Krasnoyarsk branch Pension Fund Russia was sentenced to nine years in prison in a maximum security colony for taking bribes, abuse of office and forgery. The court found the official guilty of organizing corruption schemes when concluding state contracts for the modernization of the computer network and the supply of consumables for office equipment totaling more than ₽13 million. Bribes amounted to ₽1,3 million and ₽774 thousand, and the defendant did not have time to receive the second amount due to detention by law enforcement officers. This was announced by the prosecutor's office of the Krasnoyarsk Territory on August 11, 2025.
The court convicted under three articles of the Criminal Code: taking a bribe on an especially large scale, abuse of office and forgery. The regional Investigation Department of the TFR established two main episodes of the official's corruption activities. The convict was not disclosed to them.
The first episode of the crime occurred in 2020-2021. The ex-head of the department learned about the upcoming conclusion of a state contract for the modernization of the local computer network of the administrative building of the PFR branch on Guerrilla Zheleznyak Street.
The official suggested that a familiar entrepreneur provide him with a victory in the tender and overestimate the cost of the contract for a fee of ₽1,3 million. In September 2021, the agreement was signed with Lerk LLC.
The contractor modernized the computer network in the amount of ₽2,5 million, but provided a certificate of work performed for ₽5,3 million. Despite the fact that the company did not complete the work in full, the head of the department signed an acceptance certificate.
The second corruption episode concerned a state contract for the supply of printer cartridges concluded in April 2022 between the FIU branch and a company selling consumables for office equipment.
According to the tender documentation, the organization had to supply original products. The owner of the company suggested that the head of the department supply analogues instead of the original cartridges.[1]
