2023: Creation of a microelectronics design center for 1.54 billion rubles

In mid-July 2023, it became known that the Gamma Scientific and Production Enterprise (NPP), subordinate to the Ministry of Industry and Trade, resumed work on creating a microelectronics design center. The total costs of the project will exceed 1.5 billion rubles.

According to CNews, we are talking about an initiative called "Reconstruction and technical re-equipment of the microelectronics design center." In this area, NPP Gamma announced 10 tenders with a total value of 1.54 billion rubles from June 28 to June 30, 2023. The building in which the Gamma contract production is located will undergo serious engineering transformations. The facility is located in Moscow at 40 Novatorov, bldg. 1. The building has five floors and a total area of 4128.6 square meters. Its cadastral value is 366.9 million rubles. The same building houses the Research Center for the Study of Surface and Vacuum Properties (NCPV).

According to the tender documentation, among other things, services for the implementation of construction control over the work should be provided. In addition, supplies of specialized equipment are provided - an automated measuring complex with an operating frequency range of up to 110 GHz, a coordinate measuring machine, a parametric analyzer, a pulse power system, an automatic impedance tuner, a semi-automatic 200-mm probe station with an integrated active anti-vibration table, etc.

The reconstruction of the building should be completed by December 31, 2025. Market participants believe that some kind of production will be organized at the facility. The characteristics of the purchased equipment indicate that it is intended for the development of microchips and their testing. In particular, a laboratory can be deployed to test 200 mm plates.[1]
