2024: GTLK bought 42.5% of Aerolink LLC

The State Transport Leasing Company (GTLK) has acquired a 42.5% stake in Aerolink LLC, a company specializing in the development of a digital platform for organizing the movement of unmanned aircraft systems (ALS). This became known in August 2024. This information is confirmed by the materials of the Unified State Register of Legal Entities (USRUL).

According to Interfax, prior to this transaction, Aerolink with an 85% share was controlled by Aeromonitoring Master LLC. After GTLK entered the capital of the company, the share of Aeromonitoring Master decreased to 42.5%. The National Technology Initiative (NTI) Foundation retained its 15% stake.

GTLK bought 42.5% of the developer of an IT platform for organizing drone flights

The IT platform developed by Aerolink is designed to ensure the legal and safe implementation of flights for all participants in air traffic in cooperation with the State Air Traffic Management Corporation (ATM Group) and other specialized structures. The platform will include tools for a full flight cycle, from loading and agreeing a plan to controlling drone traffic in airspace and resolving potentially dangerous situations.

GTLK, acting as the basic supplier of drones under the national project and the owner of its own ALS operator, shows significant interest in creating and launching this platform. It is expected that it will not only ensure the safe operation of drones, but also contribute to the development of optimal rules for their use based on collected data and artificial intelligence technologies.

The launch of the beta version of the platform is scheduled for 2025, and the start of its industrial operation is scheduled for 2026. The volume of investments of GTLK in the project was not disclosed.

Earlier, GTLK established BAS LLC, a drone operator company. As of August 2024, its fleet has about 200 Russian and Chinese-made drones. By the end of 2024, it is planned to increase the fleet to 400 units.[1]
