On May 26, 2018, at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, Boris Nuraliev, director of 1C, and Ekaterina Klikunova, general director of ANO Human Capital Development (established by the Moscow City Government), signed a cooperation agreement.
To implement one of the major projects, it is planned to use the project for teaching schoolchildren programming "1C: Club of Programmers" developed by 1C. For more than 7 years, the club format has been developing youth interest in the professions of the IT industry right from the school bench. The most important result of training in courses in "1C: Clubs of Programmers" is the formation of a lively interest in computer science among schoolchildren, pride in the development of "adult" programming tools and methods, which gives a good chance that having matured, the guys will come to work in the IT industry. 220 "1C: Clubs of Programmers" are already operating in 156 cities of Russia and the CIS. More than 14 thousand schoolchildren became their graduates.
The joint work of 1C and the Moscow Government is designed to help in solving the problems of practice-oriented training of young IT personnel and eliminating their shortage, increasing the motivation of young people to acquire IT competencies and interest in IT professions, and developing competencies important for the digital economy among a wide range of citizens.
