2023: Opening of the Rheumatology Center
In early February 2023, three specialized rheumatology centers were opened in Moscow. They earned at the City Clinical Hospital (GKB) No. 1 named after N.I. Pirogov (residents of the Southern Administrative District, South-Western Administrative District, TINAO, Central Administrative District will be treated here), GKB No. 52 (for residents of ZAO, North-Western Administrative District, ZelAO) and the Moscow Clinical Scientific Center named after A.S. 2019: Opening of the bone marrow transplant unit
At the end of December 2019, a bone marrow transplantation department (TCM) was opened in Moscow hospital No. 52, located in the Shchukino district. More than 200 operations are planned for 2020.
The department is designed to provide specialized medical care to patients with oncohematological diseases in need of bone marrow/hematopoietic blood stem cell transplantation.
In the launched department there are 12 boxes equipped with a laminar flow system and HEPA-filters of fine purification, as well as other technical solutions that provide the complete sterility necessary for the successful treatment and recovery of patients. The Block for equipping, organizing the medical process and the quality of the medical care provided is not inferior to similar units of the world's leading clinics and can rightfully be considered one of the best in Russia, the Moscow Department of Health said.
In the new department, it is planned to carry out autotransplantation of hematopoietic stem cells of the blood and bone marrow, as well as allogeneic (from a donor) TCM - only about 12-15 operations per month.
According to the head of the hematological service of hospital No. 52 Elena Misyurina, it is planned to develop a promising direction of autotransplantation for patients with autoimmune diseases.
According to the Vademecum Analytical Center, in 2019, federal medical centers and university clinics engaged in TCMs planned to allocate about 1.4 thousand quotas (VMP groups 59 and 60) for a total of 3.6 billion rubles. The largest operators are the First St. Petersburg State Medical University named after Academician I.P. Pavlov, National Medical Research Center of Pediatric Hematology, Oncology and Immunology named after Dmitry Rogachev and National Medical Research Center of Oncology named after N.N. Petrov.[1]
