2022: Introduction of Axelot WOS X5 at Balton Trading (Asia)

Axelot WOS X5 made it possible to automate the small warehouse "Balton Trading (Asia)" and implement the pricing of warehouse processes on it, so that the warehouse can process part of the commodity flow as a logistics operator of 3PL services. This was announced on November 18, 2022 by Axelot.

Balton Trading (Asia) is developing and expanding the range of services, from 2021 it has a responsible storage service (3PL). This is a new business area for Balton Trading (Asia), but the company's warehouse logistics meet the requirements to maintain the high quality of the services provided: warehouses are automated and equipped with modern storage and security systems.

Balton Trading (Asia) successfully implemented a project to provide 3PL services for advertizing the company's products Nestle in a small warehouse in. Tashkent Full-fledged was not WMS suitable due to the redundancy of even basic functionality. Therefore, Axelot, a partner of Balton Trading (Asia) in logistics automation, proposed the introduction of Axelot WOS X5. This system is suitable for storage areas with simple processes, but high requirements for accounting detail. Axelot WOS can be used by manufacturing enterprises with a large number of warehouses or shop pantries, as well as companies selling goods at retail using the dark-store model.

Companies have already had joint experience in implementing projects as part of the implementation of WMS and TMS, so the recommendations of Axelot specialists were fully taken into account.

The project was carried out remotely, including training, testing and launch, and was completed within a short time frame. The absence of racks at the system startup stage did not become a serious obstacle. The launch was carried out in an additional room with a floor storage area.

The introduction of Axelot WOS X5 made it possible to automate the cargo processing of incoming and outgoing flows, including gate planning and export to the shipping gate, as well as organize targeted storage in the warehouse. The user-friendly interface of the mobile customer allows warehouse personnel to easily perform operations using the shipping documentation.

The warehouse processes are as follows:

• Receipt: goods are received from the machine immediately into the storage cell, bypassing registration in the acceptance area. The system tells the employee the balances and the location of the goods to be received in the warehouse.
• Selection and shipment: The system informs the employee about the balances of the selected goods in the warehouse and during the selection process immediately forms cargo items that are placed in the shipment area and are immediately available for subsequent shipment.
• The inventory is carried out in three ways: for a specific bin, for a specific item (the stock for the item in all bins is recalculated) and a full inventory (the entire warehouse is recalculated - a blind inventory).

In order for the warehouse to calculate the services of responsible storage, Axelot WOS X5 has implemented the charging of the following operations: storage, acceptance, formation of cargo items for shipment order and for picking, stretching and sticker.

According to Axelot, Balton Trading (Asia) is the first company in Uzbekistan to implement Axelot WOS X5. After the launch of the system, the new warehouse became a full-fledged component of the company's extensive logistics network, which allows us to continuously optimize the supply chain to meet the needs of all customers: from single stores to large chain markets.
