2022: Implementation "1S:UNF 8. Printing 2 "

On November 23, 2022, 1C announced that the Color Pack printing house, part of the Color Group, had introduced the 1S:UNF 8 automation system . Printing 2. " All production operations were standardized in pre-print, printed and post-print processing. Operational planning and dispatching of production are organized. Operational accounting of own and subcontracted raw materials in the warehouse is provided. The calculation of orders has accelerated by 30%, control over their execution has been optimized. The total profitability of the printing house increased by 15%.

According to the company, earlier electronic tables, self-written programs and paper documents were used to calculate, execute and maintain orders in the printing house. There was no centralized storage of information about orders and customers, there were often errors in the planning of production and sales. To take into account the cost of raw materials and consumables in the cost of the order - it was necessary to transfer data from one database to another, errors occurred, it was almost impossible to quickly assess the preliminary cost of the order, its profitability and profitability.

The company needs an information system that would optimize production planning, organize accurate accounting in the warehouse, ensure quick and correct calculation of orders, and help optimize control over all stages of production.

To solve the tasks, the "1S:UNF 8" system was chosen. Printing 2. " Armex became the implementation partner. The project was completed in 11 months. During this time, all operations of digital, flexographic and offset printing, as well as pre-print and post-print processing - these are about a hundred operations - were normalized in time and cost. The system has created templates for calculating the most popular types of products, as well as personal printed forms of process charts, taking into account the national specifics and production. The operation of the warehouse is automated, configured and the dispatching system in production immediately began to be actively used. Management reports are set up and adapted for national and industry specifics.

Key Project Deliverables:

  • Rationing of technological operations made it possible to speed up the calculation of orders by 30%, errors at the stage of preliminary valuation are now practically eliminated. During the standard five-day work week, the commercial department provides 24-hour loading of the printing house. You no longer need to leave the manager on duty in production or worry that urgent questions about current orders will arise during production. The work of the office and production has become orderly and systematic.
  • Automation of settlements not only saved time, but also freed the staff of non-profit services from unnecessary workload, which made it possible to optimize the staff of accountants. Previously, up to five employees took part in calculating the order directly or indirectly: in addition to the manager, these could be a technologist, accountant, warehouse employee, commercial director. It was necessary to agree on the availability and cost of materials, printing time, price for the client, etc. As of November 2022, only the manager and sometimes his immediate supervisor are busy in this process.
  • Warehouse accounting of own and subcontracted raw materials is fully automated. The condition of the warehouse is reflected in the system in real time, which is very important in the conditions of operative printing. When the winemaking season begins, customers place orders to print labels and packages with the condition "pick up tomorrow." It is not possible to determine the feasibility of the order without proper accounting in the warehouse. Now managers immediately see if they can take an order or not. The company fulfills orders in full and on time.
  • After the materials are capitalized with purchase prices, the system generates the internal cost of the materials. Based on it and taking into account rationing, the planned cost of the order is calculated. As a result, even at the stage of negotiations with customers, managers see the planned cost of each order and take it into account when forming the final price for the buyer.
  • The system quickly generates reports that allow you to receive detailed information about the work of all departments of the enterprise - reports on the cost of production, fulfillment of orders, planning operations, etc. All of them are adapted for national and industry specifics. The manager's report displays all the key performance indicators (primarily the sales plan and fulfillment of orders) required to evaluate the performance of managers and production. Management always knows at what stage the execution of an order is at, whether there is an unscheduled stop or deviations from the planned indicators. As a result, in the first months after the completion of the project, the profitability of the printing house increased by 15%.

For the company, it is convenient that in the system "1S:UNF 8. Polygraphy 2 "is a protection against malfunctioning. For example, if the manager made a mistake with the distance between the streams when calculating the order for the label, the system will not issue such an order and will indicate an error. Another important result is the operational calculation of the preliminary order value. It is immediately clear what it costs us, and then you can safely work.
